The Basics
oh, hey there! I'm ry. oh, sorry, my bad, it's ryan thomas corrinthos, but that's a huge mouthful, i know, so most people call me ry, ryan, or even sometimes tommy, although teachers used to settle on my last name, usually if i was in trouble. i'm twenty years old, and i'm ready to turn twenty one on december the fourth, but that's probably of no interest to you. i'm a pretty original guy, if you really want to know, although that's pretty obvious, i mean, i doubt you've met anyone like me before. i'm not on any sort of list, oh no, unless it's a club list, although that doesn't happen too often anymore. i'm a heterosexual man, if that wasn't clear to you previously, and i'm also pleased to make you're aquaintance!
The Magic
my house? can you guess? haha, no, i was a gryffindor back in my time at hogwarts, although that was a good few years now, but i still remember it like it was yesterday. well, in my time as hogwarts as a student anyway, because i'm currently employed there as the lovely library assistant, although i get the feeling that the main librarian doesn't like my methods, because i'm pretty leniant. i didn't take that job to yell at the kids, i took it because it gave me a chance to see my sister more, considering she works at the castle too, whilst still being able to help some gryffindors with their homework and having a chat with everyone else, see what's going on and everything. and also, to er, confescate, their chocolate and whatever, because, you know, we can't have chocolate smears on the books or anything, can we now? i'm a pure blood, my two parents were pure blood, just like my other two parents are, but we'll get to that later. my wand is ten inches long, and it's made of oak wood, with a billywig stinger at it's core. it currently helps me with my alliance to the order of the phoenix, because as you can guess, magic is extreemly important in the fight against evil that we can call the nex domino. not that we think they're that much of a threat, but we're keeping an eye out, for obvious reasons.
The Appearance
you want me to describe my appearance? really? alright, then i've got bright red hair, yellow eyes and a tail. i'm kidding of course! haha! i actually have brown hair, it's not military style short, but it's not extreemly long either. it's short, but not too short, let's put it that way, and it's admittedly usually quite a mess, but i've been told that it's a hot mess, but i don't know whether i agree or not. i tend to run my hands through it to get it out of the way a lot, or just out of habit, and that naturally messes it up a little. i've got brown eyes to match my hair, and i don't know what else i can say about them either, they're not really messy like my hair, if you didn't guess that alread. tattoo's? oh sure, i have a giant back tattoo that represents the biker gang i joined in los angales. who knew? haha, no i'm kidding again, sorry, i have a bit of a sense of humour and i like to joke around about things, it keeps me occupied. i don't have any tattoo's although i'm pretty sure i'll get one soon, i just don't know what i want to get yet, any ideas? no, not on the top of your head, i didn't think so. if you do get any, owl me, i'm always open to new ideas. what do i wear? i tend to go for shirts and jeans for work, although i throw some plain black robes over it if i know the librarian's going to glare at me for it. as for outside of work, i'll wear some plain tops, maybe a wife beater, or some slogan tops that i picked up in america. i went to say 'shirts' then, because it seems i'm picking up their vocabulary too. i tend to lean towards orange, green, blue and red for colours, although lime green not slytherin green, just to clarify, and as for shoes, it depends on the outfit, becuase flip flops, trainers, converse, they're all good with most things, but like i said, it depends on the rest of the outfit, right? i do get told i look like some james franco guy though, if that's any use to you.
The Personality
i enjoy listening to music, (most types, although classic songs like queen's songs and some guns n roses, that'll do the trick, i know, it's old school but they're amazing.) reading is another one of my loves, but i don't do it a lot because i tend to get the thing where i can't decide on what book i feel like reading. it's handy working in a library though, you get a whole load of choice, you know? i love being outside, and i'm very outdoorsy. i was going to go for the groundskeeper job, but i just prefered the idea of being the librarian's assistant, because there's more chocolate involved, and speaking of, that's another one of my loves, along with adventure and excitement, and visiting new places, which usually all go hand in hand, which is very conveniant. i of course love magic, i couldn't live without it because it's such a big part of my life, and then there's the obvious things, like girls, gryffindor, life, and my family and friends, and then the ultimate coffee provider, starbucks. i don't like packing, unpacking, leaving somewhere i love, getting upset in front of people, getting upset in general, prejudice, misplacing my wand (it happens, and it gets very annoying, especially when you've gotta sort through all the boxes and stuff to get to wherever it is you dropped it or put it), being insulted (but i try not to let it get to me, although that doesn't mean i'm going to like it), people insulting my family, hurting my family, cheeking my sister, being sick, being ill and missing out on some amazing chance. i do tend to believe in fate, though, and if i miss an amazing chance, i tell myself that if i was meant to have it, i'd have had it, something better will be coming along sooner, and that's that. i ran into this girl by chance, and i have a good feeling about her, so thanks very much, fate, it's nice to have you in my life. i'm good at being outside for long periods of time, transfigoration, charms, and helping people when they need it. i'm also good at playing the guitar, but i don't do it very often (mainly because i've not gotten to that thing yet, it's in a box in my house, somewhere. i'll find it eventually) and i'm also good at taking directions and following instructions, although i'd only do it if i agree, i don't like being pushed around either, did i mention that? i'm bad at taking orders if i don't agree, and i'm also bad at resisting temptation when it comes to things that i love, like starbucks, or chocolate. of course, i do run in the mornings when i remember and get up in time, so i burn all that chocolate off anyway, right? i'm also bad at biting my tongue and thinking before i speak. i tend to say what's on my mind, although that's usually the odd occasion, and then once i start, it goes downhill from there. it usually happens when i'm nervous, but i don't get nervous easily, or at least i chose to think i don't. i've been told i'm good at being charming and i know how to treat a girl, and yeah, i'm a gentleman. i'm the guy that holds doors open for women, and gives up his seat on muggle transport for them, and i'll even pull out their chair and wait for them to sit at a resteraunt before sitting down myself. it's just how i was raised though, i was taught manners, and they've stuck with me. i don't think there's any excuse not to have them. i'm scared i'll end up alone, with all my travelling trophies around me, but having lost everything that is important. i have a habit of running my hands through my hair, as i mentioned earlier, and also of getting defencive and protective of my family, because i don't want anyone to ever hurt them. as for a secret, i'm adopted, although we don't really spread it around, but alex knows, i think, i don't keep secrets from her, but from anyone else, well, yeah, it's not common knowledge.
The Background
alright, just wanted to quickly say that i now live in godric's hollow in my new lovely home, and i'm still unpacking, if you didn't get that already, so i can't let you keep me much longer. my biological parents are leah thomas and eric reid, who were both seventeen when they had me and now i'm what, twenty, making them thirty seven? i've never been good at maths. i don't know if i've got any other siblings from them or whatever, because i didn't keep tabs on what happened to them, unsurprisingly. all i know is, they got pregnant too early, and put me up for adoption, and my adoptive parents, elaina lucille corrinthos (42) and alexander thomas Corrinthos (45), and soon after they had my sister, alexandra elaine corrinthos, who's eighteen, and then not long after her, along came the lovely melinda rose corrinthos who is fifteen. we grew up in scotland, and my parents were close to the dalton's although i avoided going over there because they're quite intimidating, and i get a bad feeling about them, although i may have gone over once or twice, though i don't remember it at all. anyway, after i was adopted by my parents, they raised me well, giving me a good education and teaching me to be a gentleman and to respect women. i got my manners from them and they're lovely parents, honestly great, and i couldn't love them anymore if i tried. i was two when alex came along and i've been told that even at that age i was very protective of her, always watching out for her whenever i could, and i loved her to pieces, still do. when i was five, melinda came along and i treated her the same, always watching out for her and keeping an eye out for anyone who could try and hurt her, and i loved her very much. when i got to hogwarts, i was sorted into gryffindor, and i adored it there. i met my best friend, rosie, there, and we got really close, and ended up dating, but it didn't work out and we decided that it'd be better if we stayed best friends, and we still are, of course. i adore her, and i watch out for her like i do with alex and mel. i had a few other girlfriends in school, you know how it goes, and i got onto the quidditch team for a year too and really enjoyed it. when i left, i took off on a tour around the world, stopping off in all the places i'd wanted to go, and ticking them off my list. of course i'd occasionally come home to see my family, but i'd be off again in no time, as there were so many places and so many experiences i wanted to have. i went to egypt, and to rome and italy and anywhere else i fancied, but now i've just gotten back and am determined to settle down, hence the house in godric's hollow, and the job and everything. honestly, i'm home for good, apart from the occasional one week holiday, of course, but you can't blame me, the world is too interesting to waste!
