Byron was, admittedly, quite worried. Not about anything serious, just the fact that his probably future wife was kind of stubborn and didn’t seem to get on well with him at all. He’d heard of a love hate relationship, but there had to be balanced, right? Well, this kind of tipped the scale toward the ‘hate’ section. Anyway, the point was that he was worried about this whole situation because he didn’t know if, a) he could live with someone who hated his guts, and b) if he could put that pretty, poor girl through a marriage in which she hated the man that she was to live her life with. And worse, she was expected no doubt to carry on the Dalton line with him, and also carry on the Nott line with that kid, so children was a definite yes, and he’d not heard of a Dalton that had only had one child. What the hell was he going to do? He had no idea how he was going to deal with this.
He had two options, really, go through with the marriage, and let it all go down the way it was planned, but with more hate. A lot more hate. Or, he could call of the marriage and find someone who wouldn’t attempt to kill him whilst he slept. Or, if he could find an option three… Ohh, option three. What if he did something to make sure that Bethany would start to like him. That would be a long shot and he’d have to do something amazing to impress her, and even then there was no guarantee that she’d let him know that he was bang on the mark. She was the type of girl to withhold information whenever she felt like it, or so it seemed, which meant that he had no guarantee that when he did surprise her with something she loved, she may not make it known that she did love it. Maybe she’d say it’s fine or whatever, or maybe she’d send whatever it was back, if it was a gift.
So this was why he’d not married anyone sooner, women were too much work. And to top it off, he had to hold detention tonight, because some students neglected to hand in an essay that he set. He’d unlocked the door and let them come on in when they got there, and he was now sitting comfortably at his desk, wondering what the hell he could give Bethany Dalton to make her fall head over heels in love with him. Usually, all they needed was one look at him and BAM, it was like, all they wanted was him. So why wasn’t that the case with Miss Dalton. Women were a mystery. He heard the door open and glanced up, it snapped him out of his thoughts. ”You are late. Why?”
he asked, frowning. ”Take a seat then” he murmured, before slinking off into his thoughts again.[/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGING

Annie wasn’t impressed. Just because she didn’t hand in her essay for whatever stupid topic it was, she was given a front row seat to boredom. Oh yes, Miss Carter was attending yet another evening detention. At least the teacher was cute, that was a bonus. Something to look at. Although there were other nameless people that she would rather be looking at although she’d never voice this, nor admit it to anyone, including herself. The transfiguration teacher was, however, quite good looking. He had brown hair, nice eyes, but not as nice as… other.. Eyes. Belonging to other people that most definitely were not a guy that… Annie knew? Oh great, now her mind was coming up with lame cover ups for her own mind to witness. There had to be someone to distract her over-reacting brain. Please. Someone. Anyone?
Annie cast a glance around the class room, and there were a few people in there, admittedly. One or two of them seemed to be asleep. How interesting, maybe she should do that. After all, what was there to lose? Nothing, really, maybe another night to detention, but there we go. Besides, those guys weren’t getting pulled in for anything. How curious. Maybe the teacher hadn’t noticed. Annie looked at him quickly and noticed that he had some far away look in his eyes. Not bad. Not bad at all. He seemed pretty out of it, so sleeping was a giant possibility. Annie leant her head down on the desk and arranged her arms accordingly to make her most comfortable.
She was just starting to slip off into sleep, when she heard the door to the room creak open, and her curiosity got the better of her. She felt the need then to look up a little from her sleeping place to see who wandered into the room. She didn’t have to look too far though, they’d decided to pull up a chair one desk over from her. Epic, maybe they wouldn’t mind distracting Annie’s wayward mind from any thoughts of anyone who was blonde with blue eyes. Heck, Annie could live in hope.

Harrison had been out on a walk around the grounds. He enjoyed the time away from the craziness that were the halls of Hogwarts. He spent a lot of time walking but found a nice spot in the sun to lay in. Harrison loved being outside, he loved the feel of the grass against his skin and the sun warming him to the core. He enjoyed it some much so that he had fallen asleep. He dreamed of being out on the grounds with Will, the boy he had eaten with the other day. His dream had been so vivid that when he had woken up he felt that Will was laying there with him. Harrison looked at his watch, damn he was going to be late for detention. Harrison got up and ran to the transfiguration room. He hoped that Byron would be lenient with him since Byron was set to marry his cousin. Harrison was surprised that he had even gotten detention, he had only turned in his paper a little late, ok so it was a day late, but still. Harrison was trying to make it to detention on time but he kept having to slow down because of other professors in the halls. He would have kept running but he didn’t want to have to sit through another detention.
Finally he made it, he opened the door. Byron noticed he was late, again. ”Sorry I lost track of time. I know it’s no excuse. Again, I’m sorry.” Harrison sat down in the closest seat to where he was standing, it just so happened that seat was right next to a very cute girl. Wow, Harrison had never used cute in reference to a girl before, it was a strange thought. He looked at her and she seemed to be getting ready to go to sleep, good idea. Harrison crossed his arms and laid his head down on them looking towards the girl. He wanted to talk to her but he needed to wait for Byron to look away or go do something. So Harrison decided to wait.

Annie met the eyes of the boy who took the seat next to her, and she took a moment to watch him carefully. He decided that her idea was a good one, it seemed, and copied her motions in attempting to sleep. Unfortunately, Annie couldn't get to sleep, and she'd known she wouldn't the very second that she'd laid her head down. You know when you just know that no matter how much you tried, you wouldn't sleep? Well, Annie knew. And that annoyed her a little, but at least she wasn't alone in the boredom. "Thank Merlin, I thought I was going to die alone."
She murmured, laughing a little. She kept her eyes on the teacher for a few moments but he really did seem like he was in his own world. In fact, he looked lost in thought, just like she apparently looked when she started thinking about T- Cake. She was in no way going to finish that thought with anything other than cake, and she certainly didn't consider ending it with a name beginning with T. not happening. Annie couldn't recognise her detention buddy, but whoever he was, it was better than being alone and bored to death. "You know we could probably throw things at him and he wouldn't batter an eyelid. He looks like he's somewhere else, if you get me" Annie observed aloud. She wondered what the teacher was thinking of. What was his name, Professor Nott? Yeah, that was it. Professor cutie, although he wasn't really her type. She couldn't look into his eyes and feel anything. No spark or whatever. She needed that. Annie liked a challenge. She also needed someone who could handle her mood swings, and maybe even combat them with their own. She needed someone who she could insult until she was blue in the face, and all he'd do is give her all epic insults back. She needed someone she could take all her anger out on, and then have a cuddle with later. Oh. Wow. Where the heck was she going to find someone like that? Annie realised that she'd not introduced herself. "Oh snap, sorry about that, I'm Annie Carter. Hogwarts resident crazy." she joked, making a face at him and then chuckling. "Nah, not really, but I can be pretty random. And you are?" she asked, wondering who this bloke was. She didn't recall seeing him around lessons, but then again she didn't always pay that much attention. That sounded bad, didn't it? But some subjects just didn't do it for her. She always got the grades, she made sure of that, but she just couldn't stand History of Magic, how boring was that? How many goblin wars could there be. Some variation would have been epic, but apparently the goblins were easily angered. Whatever, she'd wing that one, because each history of magic topic could send her to sleep. She actually didn't mind history, but as long as it was taught in a good way. Like, people droning on about it all in a monotone voice wasn't going to sink in that well, was it? The girl Harrison was sitting next to chanced talking which caught him off guard. He listened, watching Byron to make sure he wasn’t going to get into any more trouble over this. He knew that the parents had to have found out that he had gotten detention seeing how Byron was engaged to Beth. Harrison was just waiting for the howler or even worse a vacation. He could hear the parents yelling at him now, it wasn’t very pleasant. This little misstep was going to earn Harrison a lot of time doing impossibly difficult task around the house. Oh she introduced herself, he wasn’t sure but he thought she said Annie. ”Nice to meet you Annie. I’m Harrison Dalton. As far as Byron, I mean Professor Nott, he’s probably lost in thought about my cousin. They’re in an interesting predicament. But yeah I guess you could say I’m another resident crazy person considering where I come from.” Harrison looked up at Byron, he was still lost in his own world despite the fact that Harrison had completely forgot to whisper. So far detention didn’t seem too awful, Harrison was making a new friend, he hoped.
Harrison wondered what kind of impression it would be seeing how they were meeting in detention after all, maybe this would make him seem more like a bad ass even though that was far from the truth. Despite his surname Harrison was much softer then the other Daltons, he pretty much didn’t have a vindictive or angry bone in his body. He has always been a sweetheart, except when it comes to people who hate people because of their sexual orientation, it just pissed him off. That is the only thing that really gets him angry.
Harrison’s brain jumped to another train of thought, nearly fast enough to make him dizzy. He looked back up at Byron and wondered how he would react if Harrison were to tell him about the whole gay thing, Byron seemed to be distracted enough that it might just roll off his back, but if he wasn’t then he knew it wouldn’t be long before Beth found out. He wasn’t sure how his family would react but he knew with all the stress in Beth’s life right now, it wouldn’t be good. Harrison had been debating on who to tell when and he was pretty sure that Josh would be his best bet, Josh was by far the member of his family that he was closest to. He was sure if anything happened with Will that it would quickly become a well known fact within the school and that it wouldn’t take long for the parents to hear. It was a conundrum, never ending cycle of confusion. Now Harrison was thinking about Will. He liked Will but he knew that Will was most likely too good to be anything more then friends with Harrison, yet he couldn’t get Will out of his head. Thinking about Will put a smile on Harrison’s face no matter what was going on around him. He could picture the way Will’s shirt perfectly accented his frame and his jeans hugged in all the right places. But most of all Harrison could remember Will’s eyes, even in his thoughts he fell deep into those eyes. Harrison knew he had a goofy grin on his face and was sure that Annie would notice but he didn’t care at this point, he’ll come up with some other reason to be grinning if she says anything.

Annie kept glancing every now and again at Professor cutie, but it seemed that he was still in his comatose state. Epic. That meant that they could get away with some decent comfortable chatter and didn't have to worry about keeping their voice down. "Dalton? Who's your cousin? What's going on?"
Annie asked, curious as to who was involved and what they were involved in. Some sort of scandalous love story? Was he Joshua's brother or Evelyn's brother? If it was option one, then he'd be talking about Evie, but if it was option two then it would either be Bethany or Izzy, and she couldn't see it being Izzy. So that would be Bethany. But then she couldn't be sure, maybe it was Izzy. Depending on the side of family he was from, she supposed. "I love gossip, it's like, a reality tv show, but without the tv part. And with people we know. He's kind of cute fair play. And it's good to be crazy, I thrive off it. It puts some fun into the day in my opinion!" Annie said with a grin. She doubted though, thinking about it, that he'd know what a reality tv show was. The Dalton family were pure bloods and so they probably weren't that big on muggle technology. She was pure blood too, but her family were a little less concerned, and more like embracing the muggle technology. It was annoying because sometimes magic interfered, but then Magic was worth it, because she couldn't live without it. Wands were handy, especially when it came to mending things that were broken. Shoes would take ages to be fixed the muggle way, but it'd take all of five seconds if a heel broke for Annie to sort it out. Magic was a way of life and she loved ever second of her magical filled existence. Annie pushed her chair back and turned around, sitting herself on the desk instead, her back to the teacher. She turned herself a little toward Harrison, feeling much comfier and much taller too. She was quite short, though she disliked it. She had to look up to everyone and that always got annoying. Especially when it came to looking up to Trevor, who loved the fact that he was taller. Although she was kind of the perfect height for him to lean down and kiss her without having to get back problems to do it. Although, when she'd been sat on the counter to kiss him, it was much easier because they were level. She could practically recall every detail, although she didn't want to because that would lead to more thoughts about Trevor and she was trying to limit her thoughts about him. After all, they weren't even together, they were just, erm, there? Annie and Trevor had a very odd relationship, although that sounded like the wrong word to use. They weren't friends, she didn't really hate him and they weren't dating, but they chucked insults at each other left and right, and then made up for it with kissing and pancakes, and then after that, erm, cake? Not really cake, but she couldn't think of a good euphemism, and he was always saying how he loved cake and so that seemed like a good thing. She'd also converted him to love cherries too, which was kind of ironic, considering a well known euphemism for the first time having sex. He'd hated cherries before that though, and she'd never tried his toothpaste, but now she had like a cupboard full of the stuff just in case it snowed and she was stuck inside for weeks. If she ran out of pizza then at least her breath would taste fresh. She could at least bug Trevor considering that he lived next door now, and if all else failed then she'd eat away at her cherry chapstick collection. Although it was hard to come by that stuff, so maybe not. ”so what got you in here?” Annie asked, in a feeble attempt to drag her thoughts away from Trevor, cake, pancakes, toothpaste and cherries, which were all things that would take her mind back to the first thing that was previously mentioned in that list. She should so stop herself from saying or thinking that name more than three times a day, or else she’d start to sound like she loved him. HA! Yeah, and then she’d go out and watch a cow jump over the moon, being chased by a bowl and spoon, followed by an evening of Professor cutie, dancing around the tables in a hula costume. That would be the day. [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGING
