If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur sat there looking out across the lake scratching the back of his head, he'd had a haircut and felt like an entirely different person, maybe he should try and pretend to be someone else, no he wasnt that different he was fairly sure his own family would recognise him at least. he slowly budged towards the water then lent over slightly to look at his own reflection "have i gained weight!?" he asked himself, he hadn't done much exercise since being at Hogwarts, maybe he'd have to start working out.. or find a potion or spell that would get rid of some of his excess fat.
He then shrugged to himself and peered past the reflection and into the depths of the lake, he was sure there were lots of creatures down there but he couldnt see a thing, just the dark. "hellooo.. anyone down there" he called out, he was sure nobody else was around to think of him as weird as it was extremely early in the morning and anyone that was up was probably in a lesson or inside because of the warmth there. He on the other hand just felt like being outside, he wasnt that cold anyway, he had a jacket on and a cardigan so he was fine.
He yawned to himself and flattened his hair down. "I need coffee" he thought to himself, he wish he had the stuff, or a coffee shop. "maybe i should head to the kitchens" he said to himself then just sighed and shuffled backwards away from the lake so he wouldnt fall in if he wasnt paying attention. He sat there just staring out into the lake, not realy paying attention to his surroundings, he was completely zoned out and just thinking about things. Everyone had seemed to split up in the Dalton house now, the twins had there wedding thing going on and as for everyone else, well it had been ages since he'd had a conversation with another Dalton.
As annoying as his family could be sometimes, they were his family and he was actually starting to miss them, even the adult Dalton's which he didnt expect after all they'd done. With a soft sigh he lay down on the grass and closed his eyes, just for a moment, to rest them, then he'd open them again, or at least that was the plan. He drifted off to sleep as he lay there on the grass, right by the lake. That would be something Would it be enough? Wearing: Outfit Comment: first new Arthur post. Annie was stood in the middle of her dormitory, just thinking. She was meant to do something so she'd come all the way from the common room, (that was sarcasm, right there) and couldn't remember what she had meant to do, so she decided to just stand there until she remembered. This often happened with Annie, especially when she was at home and her mother asked her to do something and then she'd go to do it and forget, and then she'd try and remember, fail to remember, and then go and do something else, only to remember later when her mom called her. It was getting to be a regular occurrence, and she was starting to feel like a certain blue fish that appeared on a muggle movie she'd once seen over a friends. That movie was epical. She so wanted to watch it again, because she saw so much of herself in that little fish. She'd always thought that 'just keep swimming' should become her motto. It was basically another way of saying 'keep on keeping on' or something, which she'd also seen somewhere, but she couldn't remember where. That happened a lot too. She'd always see something, then it would stick in her brain, but she could never remember where she got it from, and then it would annoy the hell out of her and then she'd have to search her brain for it. Oh whatever, she couldn't be bothered to stay around here, she wanted to be out, breathing fresh air and probably getting cold because it's winter and all. THAT WAS IT! She wanted to get out her nice new coat slash cape that her mother and father had sent her from home, to help combat the winter chills. Annie’s guess was that they’d gotten it in London, her mother usually did some amazing shopping for new winter clothes around this time. Pulling it out of her trunk, she slid it over her head, and then added some gloves for good measure, before making her way out of the dorm and down the stairs.
Before she knew it, she was through the entrance hall, and taking a huge breath of cold air. You couldn’t beat cold winter air, it was so fresh, and crisp. If air could be described as crisp. Anyway, she wanted to concentrate, she didn’t want to end up tripping over and feeling like a complete idiot. Unfortunately, Annie forgot all about that when she got distracted by an owl flying in the air, and it was really pretty so she kept walking and watching it. Then she managed to walk straight into something and fall over, like a complete idiot, right onto whatever it was that she’d tripped on. “What the actual f-”
she started, before she looked down at what she’d tripped over. Oh, not what, who. “Oh snap, my bad” she called, pushing herself up and brushing herself off. ”Why the hell are you down there anyway?” she asked, confused as to why he looked like he was sleeping outside, in the winter, when there was perfectly good dorms. She knew that it was winter and the air was ncie out and stuff, but it was still kind of odd. And who the hell was he anyway? Annie couldn’t recall seeing him around. “Who are you, exactly?” she asked, frowning. She had a feeling that she should know who he was, but then her memory was pretty bad sometimes, especially when it came to people and faces. Although there was one person that she couldn’t forget. And she wasn’t even going to go there and think his name.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] this post was made for arthur dalton and it's a lovely 609 words long. annie is wearing click and the lyrics are from when it rains by paramore and the template's by emma from ach and just so you know, he reminds me of matthew horne. If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur was flying through the sky slaying lions with wings with his sword. Well at least that's what was happening in his dream, untill he suddenly felt this pain in his side and sat upright. "LIONS!" he yelled thinking one of the lions had bit him but when his eyes adjusted to the surrounding's he realised he was back at Hogwarts, by the lake. Well obviously that was a dream, nothing cool like that happens in real life he thought to himself which was when he heard a voice. Looking around for a face to put the voice to his eyes fell upon a girl with orange hair, not ginger, but orange. Rubbing his eyes slightly to make sure they weren't playing tricks on him he looked up at the girl and mumbled "sorry, i was.. and then.. im sorry".
Clearing his throat and rubbing his lips a bit he took a deep breath and said "I was just lying and thinking.. i must have dropped off" he said then stood up and dusted himself off. He then smiled slightly and stuck out his hand so she could shake it "I'm Arthur, Arthur Dalton" he said, he didnt realy like meeting new people because, it was just awkward and horrible but she had tripped over him so he felt obligated to introduce himself and try to create some sort of friendship. "and you are?" he questioned curiously he'd not seen her around school, then again he did wander about with his head down usualy deep in thought of reading a book, never actually paying attention. He was sure the girl was nice though, if she was mean she would have yelled at him or something like Beth would, but she had simply asked him what he was doing on the floor which was a reasonable question.
He'd read a book about telling what people are like just by there appearance and suddenly decided this was a good time to check it out, from what she was wearing she seemed to dress for comfort rather than to show off her body, yet she still has a sense of fashion. He then decided that because she didnt try to impress she probably was in a relationship. From her hair she seemed to have a bold personality which meant her boyfriend probably had a bold personality as well to match hers. He couldnt realy get much more then that but then again it was his first try, he also didnt know if he was correct but he figured it would all be made obvious when he has spoken to her some more. That would be something Would it be enough? Wearing: Outfit Comment: yeah, i can see that. Annie was a little startled and confused when he yelled out 'lions' randomly, but she gave a small chuckle as she realised he was probably dreaming. "Not plural, but I'm in Gryffindor if that's any use to you"
she added, giving off a friendly smile. She was in a good mood, what else could she say? She was finally enjoying herself again, after the bad break up with Chris. She barely even thought of him anymore. And there was the whole pancakes thing with Trevor, which most definitely had no impact on her happiness at all. What so ever. Nope. Although she had been a bit easier going since it all started, but that was probably because they were the best pancakes that she'd ever tasted in her life. We're talking multiple mouth orgasms, so that was bound to put her in a good mood. A good mood that lasted months. And stuff. Yep, definitely the pancakes, though she'd never tell Trevor that, because he'd be even more smug than he usually was. Though he was kind of cute, especially when he was all smug and grinning. Hot, not cute. No, not hot... Trevor-y? She did not just think that he was cute. Nope. Nuh uh. Maybe he was down the middle, like a mix of hot and cute. Hute? Cot? Ah, she’d have to work on that, they didn’t sound that catchy. Hote. Hmm, getting there. "Dude, don't worry, I mean. If I'd been watching where I was going and not thinking about.. owls.. I wouldn't have fallen on you." Annie said with a shrug. What was that about? She would usually be shouting or something. Dude she seriously was in a great freaking mood if she was willing to put half the blame on herself, especially when he was apologising anyway. Annie wasn't one to apologise, she didn't do it often unless she thought that the person really deserved it. Like, she'd done something really really bad and couldn't get away with not apologising. She was like Trevor in that way. Except they were clearly very, very, very different? Why did that sound like a question in her mind? Why was she thinking about him again? Oh this stops here. "You want to be careful doing that, I know for a fact that some Slytherin would probably come over and like, jinx you for the fun of it or something." she warned, although it wasn't just Slytherin that would do it. Annie felt the urge to retract what she'd just said when he told her his name though. "Oh, or not. I doubt anyone would touch a Dalton, they'd be, like, dead. I'm Annie Carter. Nice to meet you" Annie said, taking his hand and shaking it. Annie watched his eyes as they kind of glanced over her. Wow. Annie coughed awkwardly to clear the air, and then tucked a random strand of hair behind her ear. "See anything you like?" she asked, crossing her arms and attempting a pissed off look. She chuckled though, which was even weirder, because she usually got pretty annoyed when dudes openly stared or whatever. Although, a lot of girls had started to stare too, and she didn't know whether that was because they'd heard about her or because of the way she dressed usually. She figured that there really wasn't a reason for her to be so well known, other than the fact that she was the seventh year Gryffindor beater. Maybe they just recognised her from that. Whatever. "Anyway, so, what's up, Arthur Dalton? Anything interesting going down that you know about?" Annie asked, thinking that considering Dalton's were so well known and all, they'd know if there were any epical non teacher parties going on somewhere in the castle. And there was no harm in asking, right? If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur looked at her confusingly when she told him she was a gryffindor he then realised he had shouted out lion's and they were the animal that represented Gryffindor. "oh no i was dreaming..." he said then stopped himself before he said something that made him sound like a weirdo "of lions" he finish trying to make it sound not so strange but failing. He stood there and a smile formed on his face when she said she was thinking about owls when she wasnt watching where she was going. Now to be honest it probably wasnt something he should get so happy over but he did feel that it made his lion statement a little bit more believable and he began to wonder maybe she was like him, a bit unusual, compared to most people anyway.
"yeah some slytherins can be gits" he admitted but they tended to avoid him because they either thought it wasnt cool to be seen talking to him or they thought if they tried to mess with Arthur the entire Dalton family would combine to make one huge problem. "Oh.. so you know a Dalton already?" he asked her curiously, it seemed she knew the name already at least, he liked that sense of fame even if it didnt bring the things you would usually associated with fame. "And dont judge us all by our last name, we all differ in different ways" he told her which was true, all the Dalton's were different but if they were all the same that'd just be boring. "And it's nice to meet you too Annie Carter."
Arthur looked confused when she asked him if he saw anything he liked it took him a moment to realise that by looking at her to try and work out things about her he'd actually been looking her up and down. His face suddenly went red "no no no, i wasnt checking you out, i was using logical reasoning!" he said putting his hands on the sides of his face to try and cover up the fact he was blushing. Breathing in and out deeply he pulled his hands down from his face and let them drop by his side. "Well there's a lot of stuff going on.. but I'm not sure if i am allowed to tell you or not" he admitted scratching the back of his head, it was private business and realy not his to share but a part of him did want to tell her just to keep the conversation going. That would be something Would it be enough? Wearing: Outfit Comment: yeah tbf he does a bit. Annie laughed a little at the confused look on his face, and she was about to explain when he twigged it himself, it seemed. "Ahh I see. Being a Gryffindor and all, i tend to think that lions are pretty cool, but penguins kick ass too. Anyway, what about you, what house is yours?"
she asked, wondering where he was placed. Annie had weird dreams too, most of the time they seemed really real. Like, there was the dream where she was married, and engaged in a completely hot affair with... Never-mind. That wasn't really a weird dream. Except for the fact that in it she was married quite young, and Annie didn't know if she'd ever get married. She'd joked about it with you know who, but she didn't really know if she ever would. Well, not with you know who as in lord Voldemort, because she didn't often converse with dead dark lords. She just didn't want to think his name again because it would probably lead to more thoughts about him, and it was pretty hard to avoid those thoughts, considering that he lived right next door to her. She would swear that he did that to annoy her, but it was better than him living in America. She thought he was going to move back, and she was surprisingly really glad that he didn't. Annie kept telling herself that the only reason she cared too much was because she was enjoying the little thing they had going on, and that her life wouldn't be complete if he never made her those pancakes again. She had a weird dream the other day though, she was living in candy land, in this hugemungous castle made out of candy-cane type sweets, and it was that decoration too, and if you decided for some crazy reason to lick the walls, they'd taste of mint. And there was a chocolate river and a bridge going over it and she was like, the amazing queen of candy-land, and all the villagers bowed down to her, and then she saw that Trevor was in these stocks made of brownies. That was a very amusing part. And then she woke up. Annie figured afterward that it was something to do with all the candy canes that she'd eaten, because they turned up at discount prices around Christmas, like one muggle pound a box, and her mother and father had sent her like three boxes, two of which were almost finished off and one was wrapped and ready for her to give to Trevor. A little slice of muggle life in the amazing magical place that was Hogsmede. Damn. She totally just thought his name again. That was beyond forgivable. He seemed really happy at her answer. Not Trevor, but Arthur, and Annie grinned back. "Let me guess, you like owls as well as lions? Annie paused and asked, before going on to explain her owl reasoning. I saw one flying and it just caught my attention. I swear that I have some sort of problem. Like ADD, the attention disorder or something, because sometimes I can get totally distracted and completely zone out, and then the next second I'm falling for someone. Over someone." Annie amended quickly, then coughed a little again. Oh Merlin, she was awkward coughing. Next thing you know she'd be supporting the Lakers and talking about how much she loved cake! Change of topic, before she started thinking like him. "Yeah, tell me about it, you think I'd have figured that out before dating two of them" Annie replied, rolling her eyes. She'd dated this one particularly annoying Slytherin named Elliot a while back, and then there was Chris, and she wasn't even going to go into that. Well, really, Chris wasn't all that bad, she just couldn't learn to trust him. Maybe she had trust issues. Anyway, she couldn't learn to trust him and so she believed everyone else’s word above his, and went off on one thinking that he was cheating on her. That was a pretty terrible time for her, to be honest, and she'd kind of been quiet for a few weeks after that. Well, quieter than usual. Her insults had gotten more hard hitting though, after that, so at least something good came of it. Kind of. "I met the Gryffindor one, what was her name. Emily... no. erm, Evelyn?" she asked, wondering if she'd gotten that right. Well, Evie, if that was her name, had caught Annie in a bad mood because it was not long after the whole Chris thing blew up, which meant that Annie was a little more mean, a little more emotional, and a little more agitated. She remembered being somewhere up high anyway, maybe the astronomy tower, she went there to think a lot, and they'd argued a little. Nothing completely serious, it was just about being left alone or something. Anyway, Annie hadn't really taken a liking to Evelyn, but that's how it was. She could be a really nice girl, it's just that the circumstances caused them to be a little bitchy. It didn't seem as if Evelyn wanted to be at Hogwarts at all, and that could have put her on edge. "Different is good. I'm usually considered pretty different. You should see how I usually dress. This is way toned down for me, but they're my new winter clothes, just delievered, and they're comfortable and warm so I figured, why the hell not. I usually wear something a little more unique. Displaying my personality and all that. Teachers call it loud, some girls call it slutty and I call it 'Annie', if they don't like it then they should stop staring." Annie said with a shrug. Woah, she was pretty damned talkative today! She was always more talkative if her mood was good, it was like an indicator to how happy she was. Today, she must have totally been off the charts. Maybe she was still high off that sugar rush from two nights ago. Skittles, candy-canes and coke a cola was not a great combination, but there we have it, Annie had enjoyed herself anyhow. "You too, Arthur Dalton. Two down, how many more to go before I can say I met you all?" Annie asked, knowing that there were a few of them around. Annie knew about Joshua and Bethany, because everyone knew about those twins, and also because Joshua was engaged to marry Jaslene Malfoy, from what she remembered, and Annie and Jas were pretty good friends, considering the barriers of their houses. They were on talking terms, and Annie actually quite liked Jaslene, and wouldn't mind getting to know her a bit more. She seemed like a really nice girl, and she was sure that they had Elliot in common, because she knew Jas had dated him too. Annie chuckled at his reaction. "Logical reasoning? Really, Arthur, Really? What were you reasoning about?" Annie asked, wondering what he was trying to reason over. He was totally blushing! And he was trying to cover up the blushing! That was adorkable. She loved how people reacted, it was so interesting to see how different people reacted to the same thing. It could really tell you what they were like. Annie would say that because of his attempt at covering up the blushing, he was probably a little more socially awkward and quiet, compared to what she knew Evelyn and Joshua were like. She'd heard a lot of rumours about Joshua, and she knew that every rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt. She could be wrong about Arthur though. "Erm, ok, Hogwarts stuff, like parties and off the teacher radar stuff, or family stuff?" Annie asked, wondering what he knew was going down. She'd supposed some things about the family, but the thing with supposed information was that you never knew it was right until you talked to someone in the midst of the action, because they were bound to know exactly what was going down, and it seemed that Arthur was one of these people in the midst of it all. It seemed that he knew a lot of epical family gossip. Of course Annie had morals, and if he told her but asked her not to tell anyone, she wasn't the type to go around and blab her mouth off about it. That wasn't who she was, no matter what anyone else thought about her. She was honest. If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur tilted his head to the side, personally he'd always thought penguins were rather lame, they were birds that couldnt fly after all, and they hardly had very good camouflage, they were black when they lived in a place completely white, they also werent that good at defending themselves. A polar bear would be a cooler animal to pick from that area as it was a great hunter, they even covered up their noses whilst hunting to appear completely white. "I'm a hufflepuff" he told her, he wasnt one of those students with hufflepuff pride, he was just put into one of the boring houses, he'd much rather have been a Slytherin.
"well owl's are ok, i think there could be better ways of transporting letter though, but i like owls, their good listeners" he told her, was it weird he'd spoken to owls, well he had nobody else to talk to at the time and their was an owl nearby, who else was he going to talk to, it was a perfectly sane decision, or at least he thought so, which if he was insane wouldnt be a reliable source. Arthur listened to her tell her little story about zoning out because of owls then blinked rather hardly twice. did she just say fall for someone? he thought to himself it must have just been a slip of the tongue though as she corrected herself, he didnt want to ruin the chance of a friend so he just decided not to question what she meant by falling for someone.
"You've dated two slytherins?" he asked curiously, he hadn't even dated anyone so he was curious what it was like to be in a relationship, he imagined it would be like having a partner on a great adventure that knew what you were going to do before you do it so they can help you with support. "Evelyn is my big sister" he told her then wasnt sure what else to say about it so just went silent, there wasnt much more he could add to that. Arthur then listened to her go on about what she wore, she was very talkative and he wasnt that much mainly because he'd only just met the girl and was still unsure if he could trust her. "I think what you wear shouldnt matter, it's how people are that matters" he said honestly, sure if he saw a girl displaying a lot of skin he'd be one of those guys who's jaw would drop slightly, but that was just in human nature, it didnt mean he was going to go and ask her to marry him or something. Then came the question everyone asked him, you'd think he'd know instantly how many people were in his family but it always took him a little while to count "There is.. eight children, four adults" he told her, pretty sure he covered everyone.
"erm.. i was reasoning, about you i guess" he said his cheeks still slightly tinted red. "sorry" he quickly added in case she didnt want him trying to work her out, some people were extremely protective about things. "Family stuff" he told her, there was a ton of stuff going on with his family, he just decided to stand back and watch as everyone rushed around, he would try and work out what to do in each situation and decide if he could help or not. That would be something Would it be enough? Annie noticed Arthur's head tilt, and was sure that he was probably thinking the thing that everyone did. Penguins were useless because they were a bird that couldn't fly. Where's the point in that? Why was it called a bird if it couldn't fly? These were the usual responses she heard about penguins, but she liked them. Just because they couldn't fly, that didn't mean they ceased to exist. It was like people. They seemed to never give up, to Annie. That was why she liked them. They couldn't fly, so they didn't try, instead, they found something better to do that they were good at. For instance, they swam. They were great swimmers, and spent a good majority of their life in the sea. It was like, just because they couldn't do one thing, that didn't mean they weren't birds. Just because they couldn't fly, it didn't mean it was the end of the world. Actually, if you looked up the definition of birds, they were warm blooded animals that had characteristic feathers and wings. Nothing in there about flying. Figured, he looked the hufflepuff type.
Annie loved playing the guessing game and trying to figure out what house people were in, and her first thought was that he was a hufflepuff. "Figures, I pinned you for a hufflepuff, I got that vibe from you"
she said with a shrug, her hands moving to her pockets and patting them down. Ah, found it. She pulled out her cherry chapstick and applied a quick layer. Her lips always got chapped in the cold, and so she'd practically had one of these suckers in every pocket of every pair of jeans she owned, just in case. She just had to remember to check them before they went into the wash. Her turn to tilt her head to the side when he said they were good listeners. "Well, yeah, I mean, you can't really expect a reply, can you? No offence or anything." she added, as she didn't want to push a new possible friend away. You could never have too many friends. Just don't get too attached. That way, if they left you, you wouldn't spend hours crying. Annie didn't cry. Ok, everyone cried, but Annie didn't like crying, she kind of saw it as weak. She especially didn't cry in front of Trevor. "Yeah. One of them is a dick, and the other's Chris Weasley. Have you dated any?" she said with a shrug, then asked him a question, before pushing her hands into her pockets and looking down. She still felt slightly guilty that she ran her mouth off about him cheating, instead of asking him directly. She trusted others opinions above his because he'd told her that he'd hurt her, and she was more accustomed to that. ADD and trust issues, she was turning out to be a right mental case. Maybe she should get tested for ADD. Was there even a test for that? She had no idea. She'd have to google when she got home. When was she going home? Not for Christmas. Oh no, her parents trip to Egypt had ignited their love of travelling, and so they were off to China. Nice for some. She'd probably spend Christmas between her apartment and Hogwarts. Although, that didn't sound so bad now that Trevor had taken the apartment next door. She was infinitely glad that he hadn't returned to America, as she'd found Christmas at Hogwarts incredibly lonely. And it's no fun being left with your memories, when Christmas reminded you of those cracking dinners that your Nan cooked. She still wasn't over her death. How do you get over something like that though? "Evie. Knew it was something beginning with E." She said with a smile. Well, she supposed that Evie probably wasn't that bad, but they'd hit it off badly, and seeing as Annie wasn't one to apologise, and neither was Evie, things wouldn't ever be good between them. Not that she had to worry about that, Evie had left the first chance she'd gotten, it seemed. How could she not love Hogwarts? It was the best place in the history of forever, not counting with Trevor. What? Never mind, Annie must have been tripping on some sugar or something. Whatever. "Well aren't you the gentleman. Wish there were more guys with that attitude around. And girls, actually. Maybe that way I'd get less stares whilst walking around the castle. I mean, I stick on my free hugs hoddie and still people look. It's like, what, want a hug?" she demonstrated, throwing her arms open and then dropping them down. She'd so hug some randomer for the lols though, just to see their reaction. It was true though, whether her clothes were revealing, loud, or even relatively normal, she'd still get stares. Maybe it was the hair. Or maybe it was the Trevor business. She wondered if any rumours had gone around about those two. "So, there's twelve of you shacked up all cosy in that big mansion?" she asked, her eyes widening. She wasn't planning on having anything more than two kids. They would be enough to drive her mental if they were the slightest bit like their mother. And if their father was anything like Annie, well, both of them would be up the wall in no time. Presuming that they were married and he'd stuck around. So she'd heard of Josh and Beth, obviously, though she'd never met them, and she knew isabella too, and this was Arthur, and Annie also knew Evie. She'd met Harrison in detention. Woah, ok, so she kenw more than she thought. "Woah, I slightly miscounted, I know four of you. That's like, epic. I forgot about meeting Harrison in detention." She added with a shrug. Mind you, she had tried to block any detentions out of her mind. They were a painful waste of her time, mostly. There was no way she could get those hours back, unless she had a time turner, and seeing as she wasn't likely to find one of those lying around, that could be a problem. She didn't want to meet the Dalton adults though, that would be freaking evil, they sounded really powerful, and that could come across as scary. "Reasoning about me? What were you thinking? I'd love to hear this" she added, an interested look on her face. "Oh don't worry, carry on. I mean, it's not like you're the only one to look and make assumptions is it?" she said with a shrug, smiling when she noticed that you could see her breath. She started breathing out a few times and then laughing slightly. Yeah, she could be easily amused sometimes, especially in the mood that she was in. "Oh, epic. Family stuff can get boring though. I mean, my family stuff gets repetitive. It even bores me sometimes" she said randomly with another shrug. Her parents go off on holiday, they leave her behind. No big deal. Wasn't like she felt left out or anything. She was a big girl. She could handle it. She doubted that her parents knew that it made her feel so bad, but she wasn't going to tell them because she'd restricted their lives enough, so they should have fun whilst they can and all that.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] this post was made for arthur dalton and it's a lovely 609 words long. annie is wearing click and the lyrics are from when it rains by paramore and the template's by emma from ach and just so you know, it's no problem, i liked your reply ^-^ and sorry i replied so fast. annie muse took over my mind (512f59) for talking

If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur felt slightly disappointed that she would have put him as a Hufflepuff, it wasnt the coolest house to be in, but he'd cope with it, there was nothing he could do about it anyway. "Unless you can talk to animals" he pointed out, he couldnt but he'd heard of people who could talk to animals, like parseltongues so why the hell not one that could talk to owls a strigiformetounge as he knew strigiformes was the scientific name for an owl, he had a book on all kinds of owls at home because when he was little he wanted one that would look much cooler then all the other owls, in the end he just got an owl that mimicked his actions in the store.
"no.. i havent" he told her, he paused a moment processing what she had just said then asked curiously "You dated chris?" he wasnt that surprised he was just curious if he should be making friends with his cousin's boyfriend's ex. Was that crossing some kind of line, he figured he'd just wait untill he found out what she thought about him, if they were on good terms, he'd carry on talking, if not then he would come up with a reason to leave.. or he'd just avoid her in the future. Arthur wasnt sure what the heck he was supposed to say about her free hug thing, so he paused a moment to try and work it out. "Erm.. maybe they do?" he said, he wasnt sure if that was what she was looking for or weather she was looking for a different answer from him but he didnt know, he wasnt very good in social situations.
"Well.. by your hair, i can tell your kind of loud.. and the way you dress suggests you dress for comfort as well as fashion, by going on that, im guessing your trying to impress less guys, which means your already in a relationship with someone, and he'd probably loud too" he said rather awkwardly making as little eye contact with her as humanly possible. "i wish it was boring" he admitted sliding his hand along his fringe to make sure it was all still in place. That would be something Would it be enough? Annie watched his face, was that a slight falling there? She was no expert or anything, but you couldn't control your reactions to everything, and he seemed to be disappointed. "You know, I know a hufflepuff, I think he probably left before you got to know him, but he's pretty- ok, never tell anyone I said this, his ego is big enough. Pretty. You know. Decent."
she said, not wanting to big Trevor up too much aloud. Or at all. His ego was big enough, even though he seemed to believe that he didn't have an ego. She remembered him calling her a funny bunny when she said he had one. That had been an interesting day. Although, to be honest, most of her days with Trevor were interesting in one way or another. There was the trade off, sunglasses for the slippers, and then there was the pancakes, and then the slanging matches. The less interesting and more scary time came next, with the possibility of pregnancy. That wasn't so fun. She was so glad that the test hadn't come up positive. She wanted to be a mother, just not yet. She was way too young. She did kind of try and imagine it though, and she figured that she'd work it out eventually, but she didn't want a kid yet. Too early. She couldn't be a mother, she wanted to get through Hogwarts first at least, and then train to do something worthwhile, though she'd not figured out what yet. It would be pretty cool to talk to animals. Annie wondered if animagus could talk to animals, considering they were one or something. That would be amazing. She'd love to turn into a penguin and then talk to all the other penguins and engage in fantastic penguin activities like belly flopping into the sea, or sliding down the ice on your stomach and all that. It looked like a lot of fun. Although, of course, she'd have to get to somewhere with them first, and then there was the fact that penguins were quite conspicuous animals when you were in the UK. It wasn't like they could walk down the street unnoticed, was it? Although, she'd played the sims one and a penguin had just randomly walked past her house. That had been interesting. She'd never seen one on there before. She used to go over to her friends house and play it, and they made up some weird ass families with kick ass style and amazing life goals and then they'd just see how much they could mess up their lives with cheats and everything. They had some good times, until her muggle friend moved away. They said they were moving to London, and she'd not seen them ever since. That was a shame, really. It wasn't like she was never in London or anything. "That would be pretty cool. I wonder if those people, Legilimens, can see inside of animals brains." she paused, grinning at her random question. "You'd be an amazing pet owner, always knowing what they wanted, and you could see their memories and everything, how epic would that be?" Annie said, thinking aloud. She'd love to be a legilimense, if it meant you could see inside animals minds. People, not so much, she hated the thought of people inside her brain. Although it would be interesting to get inside of Trevor's head. Then again, she didn't know if she could handle it. He probably had a reel of porn footage in his memories, and Annie didn't know how she'd feel about watching him with other girls. That would be kind of weird, for one, and then she'd have that odd feeling which she didn't like to put a name to, because that meant she'd have to care about him more than she'd like to admit. She did like him. Kind of. Yeah. But she'd never admitted that to herself, let alone to anyone else. The thing between them was that they hated each other, and that was why it was so easy to be with him, because she didn't care and if he left she wouldn't get hurt. Ok, there was that tug again, at the thought of him leaving. She'd felt that every time she thought about him going back to America. "I wouldn't recommend it." she added with a shrug. It hadn't worked out well her two times, although it was a mistake with Chris. "Yeah, earlier this year, but we broke up. It's all good in the hood though" Annie said with a shrug. She'd moved on, and so had he. "I suppose. Whatever. Anyway, yeah, that was a random story. Sorry about that. I mean, I think I'm still a bit hyper. I ate like, my weight in sugary goods the other day and I tend to talk loads when I'm hyper. You're lucky I'm not jumping around the grounds yet" she added with a wink, laughing a little. She wanted to get all hyped up with Trevor and see how mental they went. They'd probably be bouncing all over the place and then working out the specifics for their Hogwarts house. She listened to his evaluation, an amused look on her face. Ok, he'd got a lot of that spot on. She was loud, and she was dressing more for comfort, but he was wrong. She didn't have a boyfriend. "Not bad, one mistake. I'm not exactly dating anyone." she said with a grin, looking herself up and down. "Ok, let me try you. You play quidditch? I'm guessing by your form you'd be a seeker. That's what I'd put you as. You're also dressing for comfort and warmth, not to impress someone. Maybe you spend too much time trying, and now you're here, you don't feel like you have to try so much?" she assessed. " That was a shot in the dark, there." Annie added, more to herself than to him. "Excitement can be pretty entertaining though. I mean, I wish I had more excitement when it came to family." she added with a shrug, although then again, that could be dangerous, and she didn't want to lose anyone else. She cared too much about her family. She didn't want to lose them. If i flew into a mountain
Burned myself to nothing Arthur raised his eyebrow slightly at what she said "Decent?" he asked not knowing what the hell she was on about and to be honest the part about the Hufflepuff having a big ego wasnt exactly making hufflepuff look like a better house to be in. Arthur shrugged about the legilimens being able to see inside of animals heads, he was not sure on that at all, he'd not read anything about it, then again he hadnt read much about legilimens, mainly the other things like parseltongues and metamorphmaguses and animaguses because that actually interested him, he had never exactly wanted to be a legilimens, sure he'd wished he could see inside someones head from time to time but he knew people wouldnt like it so he'd decided a power people wouldnt mind as much would be cooler.
Arthur then shrugged once again he wasnt sure if dating a Slytherin would be that bad as he had relatives in slytherin and they weren't as bad as everyone seemed to make them out to be so maybe that went with other slytherins too. He wasnt completely sure but oh well it sure had to beat being alone in life didnt it. Arthur wasnt exactly looking for a relationship anyway, he still felt like he'd only just discovered the big bad world so he had to keep it safe for now and just try and get a few friends before any serious relationship. Arthur nodded, he liked Chris so he was glad thing's where good between Annie and him, he figured Chris would probably end up with Beth sooner or later, he smiled slightly at the thought of the adult Dalton's reaction to Beth becoming a Weasley. Ok maybe that was a bit far fetched but still, he had to admit it the look on their faces would have been highly amusing.
Arthur frowned slightly when she said she didnt have a boyfriend. "Oh, i could have sworn there was a guy in your life" he said with a shrug then listened as she tried to asses him, she was actually good at it. "Good, except the trying part" he told her scratching the back of his head, in fact he had to try more now then ever, when he was at home he'd just be himself and not have to worry about a thing, now he was at Hogwarts he's started to worry about everything from how he looks to how he even breaths, sometimes he worries if he's breathing deeper then normal people but he'd put his mind to rest on that and decided people just breath in different tones due to the voice box or something like that. "Excitement isn't that good" he said simply, well in his family it wasnt. That would be something Would it be enough? How could Annie describe Trevor, without saying anything to amazing in case it somehow got back to him and pumped up his ego even more. Here we go, this would be interesting, because Annie tried to keep her real opinion of Trevor close to her chest, but this guy seemed pretty down about being in Hufflepuff, so she was trying to be slightly encouraging. It was better than being in Slytherin, she supposed, but then her best friend was a Slytherin, so that said a lot. Then again, not every Slytherin was as bad as they said. For instance, there could be some that were complete dicks, but others, like Zak, actually weren't that bad, When you really tried to get to know them and everything. "Well. Ok. So despite the fact that most of the time he says things without thinking, he can actually be pretty funny. And he's a good cook. And I can talk forever with him and we'll just have a thousand different and completely off the wall conversations that mean nothing serious, but all the same it amuses us."
She said, trying to fight the silly smile that had attempted to take over her face. Damn. ok Annie Carter, breathe, you're getting in over your head. she scolded herself mentally, sucking in a deep breath and then replacing the silly grin with a normal smile. She needed to sort herself out, she was going absolutely crazy. Maybe if she recited her usual mantra of 'I hate Trevor Schumacher a few times in her head, she'd be a little better equipped to hold a normal conversation. "So, yeah, there you have it, the Hufflepuff that I know is pretty good. They're supposed to be really loyal, Hufflepuffs, and as long as they're not loyal to the bad guys, then I don't see a problem with loyalty, myself" she summarised with a small shrug. As a member of Malfoy's army, there was no danger of that for her. Annie hadn't really told anyone about her alliance. She wasn't even sure if this thing was meant to be kept on the down low, so to any outsiders, she was simply neutral in the big bad fight, and she'd remain telling people that was what she was until she got any hint that others were letting people know their alliance. She didn't want to be the one to reveal the existence of the MA to anyone that would do it harm. For instance, she had no idea if the Headmaster and his cronies knew what was going down with the good students, but she was sure that if he did, and thought that they were a threat, he'd have done something to stop them. Annie hesitated when Arthur frowned and spoke again. "Well technically-" Annie paused, not knowing what to say. She didn't particularly want to mention anything about her current situation to a guy she just met. She most certainly wasn't going to finish that situation off with 'well, we're just having sex. That's all. And occasionally indulging in a pancake-y treat' because that wouldn't be appropriate, and besides, she wasn't sure about his age. She didn't want to corrupt his innocent years if he happened to be younger than her. Annie was only just getting used to the idea of being in her seventh year of Hogwarts, and it was really hard to stop herself from thinking that she was a sixth year. It had happened a few times. People had asked what year she was in and she'd said sixth and had to correct herself. Or someone said they were a sixth year and Annie was like, 'I've not seen you in any of my classis, what do you take?' and then she'd remembered that she was a year above them. Little random conversations in the common room had lead to that a few times now. "Well, technically, I'm what you'd call, single. Although I'm not looking for a boyfriend or relationship like that at the moment. I'm seriously starting to think that, uh, being single is better than that, at the moment" she finished her sentence, trying not to say anything about being involved with a guy but not calling him her boyfriend. She was starting to think that being single was better, the way that she was doing it. She had no strings sex, got to laugh and joke with Trevor, and flirt a little with him too, and then didn't have to worry about talking and joking and maybe even flirting with other guys and having her boyfriend get jealous. Although she didn't feel the need to flirt with other guys. She kind of saved that for Trevor, though she did it subconsciously, and didn't want to admit that to herself. She kept telling herself that she only thought that Trevor was hot. After how she'd described him, she knew it was more than that, but she pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind and stopped herself thinking about it anymore. The last thing she needed was to start liking him, and then get into a relationship with him only to have him cheat on her and have her get hurt. Although she did feel the subconscious want to call Trevor 'her Trevor' and she thankfully managed to push that to the back of her mind too, because it was starting to creep her out.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] this post was made for arthur dalton and it's a lovely 904 words long. annie is wearing click and the lyrics are from when it rains by paramore and the template's by emma from ach and just so you know, he reminds me of matthew horne.
