She hated days like this, where she was annoyed by the littlest thing. She supposed that maybe she'd gotten out of the wrong side of the bed that morning, and so even wayward hairs tickling her neck were proving to be a dire enemy as she tried to concentrate. It was hard to do, when the thing you were concentrating on wasn't appealing at all. Homework, Scarlett's almost least favorite thing in the world, and it was unavoidable considering the amount of lessons that they had to take at Hogwarts. Alright, some weren't too bad, and others she excelled in (although that was with a little help from her ability.) but others, were worse than spending an hour attempting to converse with a Troll. In fact, that could actually be quite amusing, maybe she'd see if she could make that exchange for an hour every week. Who knew, maybe she'd actually manage to teach the Troll some English. At least he'd learn something then, even if he'd forget it within a few moments. Trolls weren't exactly known for their memory capabilities, you know.
Oh that had done it. All this thinking about the capabilities of Trolls had distracted her, and she knew that she wouldn't be able to return to work on this homework until she'd read the section on Trolls. Scar pushed her way around her bag until she found the thing she was looking for, and her hand clasped tightly around the book, drawing it from the depths of her bag. It was a big enough bag, because she kept everything in it, including a change of clothes. Not robes, oh no, just some trousers, a shirt and some underwear and socks, just in case. Scarlett wasn't the most lucky person in the world and there was every possibility that one day she'd get stuck somewhere and need to change her clothes, and there she'd have it, right in her survival bag. It was the one she took everywhere. She also carried her wand, some plasters, a little notebook full of all the useful spells, lest she forget, and other helpful books, like her copy of fantastic beasts, and also the tales of beadle the bard, which she'd spent ages tracking down and getting her hands on it.
That was what she'd dip into at night, in an attempt to gain more knowledge about what growing up in a magical household would be like. Scarlett placed her bag back on the floor by her feet, and flipped through the dog eared pages of her book until she found 'T' and looked down to see Troll. Ministry of magic classification for a troll was XXXX. Oh, dangerous, required specialist knowledge. Maybe the language training with the Trolls would have to wait a bit then. She was by far, no specialist on Trolls. Another problem would be that they grunted instead of spoke words, and seeing as Scarlett didn't understand grunts very much, she doubted she'd be able to get a handle on the situation at all. Maybe men were descended from Trolls. After all, didn't they revert to grunts when they couldn't be bothered to formulate actual words that people could understand? Scarlett was proud of her ability to use the English language, and to use it well, so she'd never revert to grunts. Besides, grunts didn't sound particularly attractive at all, did they? She didn't understand why cave women got married, because you'd never understand what the men were saying.
She let her eyes wander over the words, reading them again for good measure, and she absent-mindedly pulled her lower lip into her mouth and began to nibble on it. Yes, she was procrastinating and yes, she didn't want to do her homework, but she knew it had to be handed in tomorrow, and if she didn't get it done today, then she'd never do it. Not to mention the fact that there was, what, about an hour until lunch started? If she didn't get it done by then she didn't know if she could summon the energy to return from the table where her friends were, and seek silence in the library, where she was now, to continue her work. After lunch, she often felt like she didn't want to do anything at all. Scarlett heard footsteps, but she stopped herself from looking up. She heard the footsteps stop in front of her, and she opened her mouth to speak. ”no I’m not eating chocolate, I remembered you told me off last time, don’t worry, and yes this is my own book, so I’m not stealing.”
she spoke, thinking it was probably the librarian. Curiosity got the better of her, and she looked up, seeing someone who wasn’t the librarian at all. ”Sorry, I thought you were someone else, obviously. Is there something you wanted?” she asked, peeking over her book and hoped this person could distract her from her work, despite the fact that she knew doing so would be a terribly bad thing. But then, she didn't particularly care. It wasn’t like she always forgot to do her homework, so once or twice wouldn’t matter too much would it? There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David was in a bad mood, well he was nearly always in a bad mood recently, you'd be in a bad mood too if you found out your parents werent your parents and that your real father is apparently evil, according to the things he'd heard around Hogwarts, oh and his mother, she'd buggered off somewere not even taking time to meet her son. He needed time away from all the noise and the people talking and everything before he ended up going insane, he just needed some quiet time, that's all. Time alone away from every possible mistake he had ever made and all his regrets and everything that was driving him insane.
David decided the best place to do this was the library, as well.. nobody was aloud to speak loudly in there so it seemed the ideal place, plus he could just burry his nose into a book and forget about the world and all it's issues. He arrived in the library and headed straight to the Q section, a rather random thing to do but he figured there must be tons of stuff in the Q section he didnt know much about, after ages going through books about Queens he eventually found one that seemed interesting it was called 'The Quarender". He shrugged picking it up and heading to the table he usually sat at in the library, he spent this time walking not really watching where he was going but looking at the small dark apple that was on the cover, it looked delicious and David was never one for apples.
He eventually looked up when he heard a voice, he noticed a girl sitting at the table he was planning to Great, now im going to have to look about for a table that doesnt have anyone at it and by the time i found one she'll have moved so the entire search would be pointless he thought sighing. Then just as he was about to turn and walk off the girl realised he wasnt the librarian and she spoke. "I wish i was someone else" he said in responce to what she said, he wasnt really focusing on what he was saying, his mind was elsewere, conumed with thoughts of horrible proportions. "Oh it''s you! One of my many many regrets" he said realising he knew the girl.. well he knew her probably better then most other people expecially if they'd spoken to her as much as he had. "I dont want much.. just you know.. a new life prehaps?" he said asking as if she just had five of them on the table and there was a huge sign saying 'Free lives' next to the table. There wasnt. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* my little decoy, don't look so blue , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Anything that Scarlett had been feeling previously, be it elation, anger or sadness all slipped away and was replaced with disappointment in herself as she heard his words. She felt sick, as everything that had happened that night, with this very guy, washed over her, and she felt herself wrapping her arms around herself subconsciously, and for a second she thought it was his, but realised that he hadn't moved, and instead, she looked down. Her teeth tugged her bottom lip into her mouth and she began to nibble on it, willing herself to look passive. That comment had hurt, sure, but she knew it was true. What had passed between them was a mistake, and it was one of her biggest regrets, although it wasn't as big as the one that she gave herself to first. Scarlett's sexual history wasn't as long as some of the other girls in the school, and she knew that for a fact, but she wasn't the squeaky clean Ravenclaw that everyone expected either. It seemed, neither was he. She'd had two men in her past who she'd shared her body with, and she regretted both times after they happened. The first had heard because it was exactly that, her first, and she was sure she loved him, and of course, the guy told her that he loved her too, and of course, at the time she was the naive teenage girl who was head over heels in love with the wrong guy, she believed him. Big mistake. It had resulted in a lot of self loathing, many long hours spent in the bath trying to get him off her skin, and many random outbursts of tears.
David was different, yeah, but he was also very much the same. A regret. She slept with David after she got stood up by the guy that she really liked, and she'd woken up feeling empty, just like the bed, because he'd gone, and she'd gotten out of it as soon as possible, because it was a reminder of all that they'd done the night before. Even the alcohol hadn't stopped her from remembering, unfortunately, and her hands had once again ran herself a very long bath, as she washed everything away for the second time. Of course, it couldn't wash the memories away, or the feeling of being alone that she still had, despite the efforts of the previous night. Of course, that seemed to make it worse, didn't it? After that she'd sworn to herself that the next guy she slept with, she wouldn't regret. Third time lucky was her rule, and she had no reason that this rule wouldn't apply to sex. Of course she'd been lucky enough not to run into him ever since then, not directly, and of course, it seemed that fate didn't like her not suffering from some sort of reminder of her internal battle between being alone and risking pain in a relationship, and so he was here, the reminder that she was far from innocent, so to speak, considering that she'd had a one night stand with this boy after getting drunk at a local bar because another guy hadn't turned up. Yeah, she didn't have issues at all. She didn't understand why, but she knew deep down that she seemed to be attracted to all the wrong men. And now she'd found herself crushing on a Dalton. HA! Her, a muggle born, crushing on a Dalton. The pure bloods would laugh at that, no questions asked.
Turning his words over in her head, she tried to come up with a decent response that wouldn't hurt him, or remind her of what had passed between them, because she already felt used, and his presence wouldn't help that. "Huh, say the same back to yourself and save me the trouble?"
she managed, in as level a tone as she could manage. She wasn't in the mood to be harassed tonight, and she knew that if he got her mad, she'd have to go back to the dorm, put a silencing charm over it and scream the hell out of the place to get her anger out. That was how Scar worked, she didn't vent on people all that much, she just delivered some biting comments and then went somewhere alone to vent, away from everyone, so no one could get hurt, or even see her in such a distressed way. She hated people seeing her showing extreme emotion. When she was upset, she'd cry to herself, or on rare occasions, to her best friend, Kate, but she preferred to suffer in silence, and cry when she was alone. If she wanted to scream, she'd climb to the astronomy tower and silence as much of the area as she could manage before letting it all go into the dark, and if she was depressed, she'd bite her lip, tell herself she was stupid, and look somewhere else for some good thoughts. She'd usually find them somewhere in a book, or by watching people who were happy. That sounded stalkerish, but it wasn't like that. She just wished she had that for herself, that was all. It gave her hope that one day, she could. "Great, well if you find a shop that stocks that sort of thing, OWL me? It'd be fantastically handy." she replied, silently wishing that such a thing was possible. Hello no future seeing life with a beautiful husband and family, goodbye depressing life that showed you things that you couldn't change.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * you should have seen right through, i'm using you . There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David smirked slightly at what she had to say as a comeback "Ohhh kitty got claws" he said with a single bitter laugh. It left a weird taste in his mouth, he wasnt himself, or maybe for the first time ever he actually was himself and his entire life before now had just been some lie which is what it felt like. He tilted his head slightly to the right examining Scarlett, something was definitely up with her. Grabbing the chair that was opposite her he turned it around and sat on it, so his legs went around the back of the chair. David sat there with a slight smirk on his face especially when she said something about a life shop.
David wished there was a shop where he could buy a different life, his one was going terribly and he'd buy one straight away, he wouldnt care what life it was, at the moment he couldnt imagine anyone in a worst situation, maybe those kids in Africa starving but he still felt like his life was completely worthless now and there was just no point in him. He'd lost belief in pretty much everything, he'd never believed in god, but he found himself loosing belief in a lot more, stuff he'd thought he'd experienced or even felt but maybe it was all just a lie.
"So what the hell would you want a new life for?" he asked curiously, he couldnt see what she had a problem with, ok the sleeping together mistake thing, sure that was a big regret but still, it wasnt anything worth wanting an entire new life over. He was trying his best to not laugh, but he probably did have a rather evil smile on his face, it wasnt the fact she had problems that made hims mile, more the fact if she knew what he'd gone through she'd probably realise her own life wasnt that bad. He wasnt sure if he'd tell her though, he knew that it took a single bad day to turn someone crazy, and David had plenty of Bad days, he wasnt sure how his life would pan out anymore, he was just gonna wing it, improvise and do whatever he wanted, screw everyone else, what have they ever done for him? Honestly, that was what he called 'claws'? Scarlett knew she could do much worse. Maybe there was something within every single Ravenclaw that just would snap, and could fire back any remark that they needed, but to be honest, she didn't think she'd ever get to that point. Most of the insults that hit Scarlett just bounced right off her back, although you'd get one or two comments that hit home. David's didn't really hurt. Ok, that was a lie, it had, but he was exactly the same for her, wasn't he? So it wasn't like it should have hurt, and still it reminded her that she'd never made love. Scarlett defined 'making love' as having sex, obviously, but with someone that you love unconditionally, and also it's great if that someone loved you back. She'd never had that. She'd thought that she was in love with her first, but he turned out to be the ass that everyone said he was, and she'd chosen to ignore them. Of course David was the second, and goodness knew that she didn't love him. She liked him, he seemed like a lovely person, and she got a feeling that he was really reliable and nice, but that feeling was gone, and as Scarlett had learned over the years, she trusted her instincts, and they told her that he'd changed, and it wasn't a good change, clearly. It had immediately set Scarlett on edge the moment that she'd realised who it was, and the second that she'd heard his words, her concerns were amplified, she didn't like this version of David. "You say that like you're surprised. I can take care of myself, thanks very much"
she replied, raising her eyebrows and letting him know that she wasn't as passive as people assumed. She didn't like violence, but she wasn't opposed to using it when she needed to. She hated the way he watched her. She hated the way he tilted his head to make it obvious, and she hated the feeling she got that she was being scrutinized. She frowned, and her eyebrows did the usual thing where they pulled together as she stared back, trying not to feel like she was under a microscope. "Could you stop staring, please?" she asked, looking away. Scarlett never liked being the center of attention in anything, and she hated the feeling of being watched, it was one of the reasons that she could never be on stage. She was a good actress, and to be honest, her singing wasn't bad either, but she hated the spotlight, that was always her mothers love, and although Scar had been on stage in primary school plays, it was only small parts, because she could never hog the main ones. But in short, she hated it when she got the feeling that she was being stared at, because she was never the prettiest, or the funniest, or anything that deserved the attention, and she'd always got the feeling that they were staring at her and waiting for her to do something amazing, and when she didn't, it was just a testimony to the fact that she just wasn't as good as the others around her. Scar used to be really insecure about it, and paranoia had really kicked in once or twice, especially in the early Hogwarts days, when she was walking in the halls and kids were laughing, she always used to think it was about her, and because she was a muggle born it added more pressure for her to do well in lesson, to prove that any assumption about muggle born's was wrong. Of course, that slowly gave away when Scarlett started to care less about what they thought, but it did come back from time to time, and now was one of those times. Scar couldn't help it, she wanted to know what he was thinking about her, and why he was watching her like that. "Well, maybe not for me. I just. It's complicated. I'd like to give someone their life back, when it was taken from them. That's all" she spoke softly, biting her lip. Her self conscious thoughts were back, telling her that it sounded stupid, but Sam had lost his life, she'd seen it and not been able to stop it, and she sort of felt like she owed it to him to try and do something about it. Of course, without anyone to back her up, other than Kate, who didn't like talking about it much either, she didn't know what she could do, and replacing the life that was lost seemed like the easiest option, and if there was a shop that did that, well, then it would have been possible. She wished it was, because now that she'd seen a few more things about Evie, she wished that he was there to see them too, but she knew that Sam wouldn't be coming back, as much as everyone wished he would. Although, evidently, apparently not 'everyone' wanted him back, or alive, for that matter, but she was sure that the boy, (who she'd not even been close to, but she felt so close to now, after seeing his final moments) made more friends than enemies, so there had to be so many people missing him. "And I suppose it'd be nice not to see murders in my sleep, so that would be another plus of it." she added, thinking that she could pick a life up for herself after all.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * you should have seen right through, i'm using you . There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David smirked slightly at the fact she said he sounded surprised "oh no, you can do way better then that... anyone could" he told her leaning back in his chair and looking across the table at her. He wasnt staring at her for any particular reason, he wasnt sure why he was doing it but she didnt like it and that suddenly made it all the more enjoyable "Why? I'm not scaring you am i?" he asked rasing an eyebrow but still making sure his eyes were watching her, always.
Then she mentioned giving someone their life back, he knew almost immediatly who she was on about. "Sam" he said simply. Why did that guy have to haunt his life even when he's not around, David never wanted Sam to die, he didnt want Evie to be hurt but there was a voice in the bck of his head that spoke in whispers, that voice was glad Sam was dead. David had never liked Sam and he was sure sam never liked him. Sure they could pretend when Evie was around, but they never liked each other. David also felt like it was his fault Sam was dead, he'd told Jon about him and.. yeah it was all David's fault, or at least thats what he told himself and that's what kept him up at night. "When it's someones time to die, it's someones time, everthings done for a reason" he told her, sure that was just something he told himself to make it feel a bit better, that way it sounded like he'd done it for the greater good. He wasnt sure if he actually believed in fate. He didnt really believe in much anymore. Really? He was challenging her? Scarlett wasn't in the mood for this. But then she wasn't in the mood for homework either, and she was forcing herself to at least attempt something. Well, no, she was forcing herself up until the moment she got distracted by something else and then David came along, and then after that, all thoughts of homework, essays and fantastic beasts had gone from her head. Now her thoughts were back on him, the night that had passed between them and the fact that he was staring at her again. It was getting annoying, like any second he assumed that she'd do something exciting like jump up on the table and dance or something random like that. Well if he thought that staring at her would make anything like that happen then he had another thing coming. For one, well, she didn't do things like that, and for two, he was making her uneasy, and if she ever did do something like that, then she'd have to be comfortable. Not that she'd thought about it, but she liked being comfortable. "Really David, I'm not in the mood for this."
she replied with a sigh, picking her book back up and trying to focus on that, and not the fact that his eyes were sitting intently on her. Damn him. It made her feel watched and cautious and uncomfortable, and as stated before, she liked being comfortable. In fact, she couldn't think of anyone who wouldn't like being comfortable. After all, what sort of weird idiot would love to be uncomfortable, it's just not nice. And again, his eyes were on hair as she kept glancing above the top of the pages of her book, and over to David. She knew he was staring, she had that feeling where you were being watched and it was terribly distracting. "Just stop. I don't like it." she replied, avoiding the question. Yes, it was. She didn't like being stared at anyway, but the fact was that this wasn't the David that she'd met that night, and laughed with and smiled with and had sex with. That was a strange thought. She didn't know why, but now he was scaring her, and she didn't want to admit it, or to the fact that if he got any closer, she'd want to back away. "How did you.." she asked, her eyes widened, but then she remembered seeing something. It was ages ago, before he'd died, and it was David sat at a desk with Styx. They were talking and Styx looked serious, so Scar assumed he'd gotten in trouble. She'd meant to warn him but something stopped her and now, she wasn't so sure that it was that simple. "Of course, Evie. That's why." she replied, realising her mistake, and she sighed a little with relief. Evie would have told him everything, that was why he knew, and she was just overreacting. "Everything's done because a choice is made, there doesn't have to be a reason behind it, just personal motive to make that choice. It wasn't his turn, and now he's going to miss out on so much and it makes me so angry!" she replied, raising her voice a little. She realised that there were tears in her eyes, of anger, though, that someone could be stolen like that, and she worked quickly to wipe them furiously away. There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David could have almost laughed when she old him she wasnt in the mood, David knew that feeling well, he wasnt in the mood for anything, he felt like a shell of his former self, sure he looked the same but all the parts hat made him who he was, they'd gone, he didnt feel like he used to and as much as he wanted to he had a feeling he'd never go back to the way he was. David opened his mouth as if to say something but then closed it, he waned to let the world know how sometimes he'd lay in bed just staring at the ceiling, unable to go to sleep but longing to sleep forever. He wanted everyone to feel the way he did, broken and hollow he wanted people to know what it was like being like him. Having everything you thought was solid and certain in your life completely uprooted and twisted and turned and deformed. He wanted to go back to how he was but he knew it wasnt going to happen, so he wanted everyone to change and feel how he felt. He wanted to tell her this.. but he knew he couldnt, talk like that gets you locked away.
"So yes, i am scaring you" he said then lent towards her as if to whisper something secret, then he simply spoke the word "good". David himself was scared, scared of what he'd do to himself, more importantly scared of what he wanted to do to himself. He was scared about how his life had gone from great to terrible so quickly and how the person he used to be was now just a memory or a tiny voice in his head, just another thing that'll be ignored, like the other voices of people who used to be such n important part of his life and now it was like the didnt even care, like his fake father and mothers.. and then there was Evie's which echoed sentences like 'what would i do without you?'. Truth was David knew exactly what everyone would do without him, they'd live better lives. David ignored the entire 'how did you..' and the 'oh, Evie'. He had nothing he wanted to ell anyone about that, the people who he thought should know, things, got to know. "Well i wish it was me" he said simply as if it was something like everyone would know like how cows moo. He'd thought about it for ages and he knew he wished he'd been Sam, the death would have been worth the time with Evie because that's the one thing David knew he wanted and yet knew he was probably never going to get, he wanted love. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* my little decoy, don't look so blue , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Scarlett wasn't in the best mood as it was, with the homework that she had to do and kept getting distracted from, and not to mention the ongoing bad feeling that she had, like a shadow, hanging not only over herself, but over the school in general, and then there was the death of Sam weighing on her concience, and the constant wondering of what she could have done to stop it. She'd replayed the situation several times in her head and also in her nightmares and each time, even if she got there, she saw him die. She'd ran through several scenarios where she'd recruited several students and a teacher to go and stop the death, but the thing was that she saw into the future, and couldn't go back into the past to change anything, so really, thinking about it was just more torture. It was shocking really that you would want to put yourself through that, but she'd wanted to know everything she could have done, in case something came up like that again, and then she'd know exactly what to do, and not just ignore the signs and hope for the best. Oh, how she regretted that now, but she'd not realised the extent of it until afterward, and then she kept getting flashbacks at night, and then her visions were coming through too and it was all a jumbled mess and it was also giving her terrible migraines. She hated it. She wished right now that she didn't have this gift, and she understood why Kate hated it so much. Before, she'd seen it as a blessing, but now that she'd seen an innocent boy murdered because he loved someone, well, now she didn't want it at all. She wished James could have it, or someone could take it off her, but then at the same time she knew that not only would she not want to wish the bad point of the seeing thing on anyone, but she'd miss the feelings that she got. Her insticts were quite sharp, and she was very reliant on them now. Her instincts were, at present, telling her to go, but something was wrong with David and she had the urge to try and help fix it if she could, or at least give it her best shot.
Scarlett's mouth was dry, and she licked her lips in an attempt to solve this problem but it didn't help. She was scared, yeah, and she didn't want him to know. "I...no. Of course not. Why should I be scared of you?"
she asked. When he leant toward her she felt like she couldn't move. Next second, she gave him a little shove on the shoulder. "Back off, David. You're too close" she replied, her hand moving to reach beside her for her bag, and within that, her wand. She didn't like him being so close, she felt vulnerable, and after looking around she couldn't see anyone, she felt alone. Not even Ryan was here, and he was lovely, she was sure that someone would find that out soon enough though, from what she'd seen. He was pretty stubborn. She now hated talking about Sam. For one, she felt like she had no rite to be upset. She'd never been that close to him. The most she'd had was a couple of conversations about chocolate in Honeydukes and that was that. Evie had a rite, Evie who was carrying something more precious than anything she knew about. Evie who had his one last link to life, right there within her. Evie was keeping him alive. Scarlett was wishing that someone else was dead. "I wish it was Styx" she whispered, looking down, a frown on her face. She felt awkward, out of place and uncomfortable around him, especially when he was saying something like that. "You shouldn't say that though, David. You have a lot to live for, Evie needs you." she replied, sensing that maybe Evie would be a little reliant on him in the state that she was in right now. There's no way in hell
I will let you leave Obviously she was going to say she wasnt scared but David knew the truth, he was scary, part of him liked this but he also felt like a monster. He just wished things could go back to the way they were before Sam even met Evie, but they couldnt. "Why? Well.. I'm not exactly myself right now" he told her then lent back when she told him he was too close, it wasnt because she'd told him to, but more the fact she'd reached for her wand, he knew he was scaring her a little bit but he didnt think she'd actually considered the fact he'd hurt her, because David wouldnt hurt anyone attentionaly, sure he sometimes thought of hurting people or even if he was super annoyed he'd imagine killing them but he'd never actually do anything to hurt anyone.
David shook his head slightly at her last comment. With his father being who he is, he had a feeling the future would be better off without him in it, the world didnt need another Styx. "No.. i dont" he told her then shook his head some more and added "and Evie, she doesn't need me, any guy could replace me easily" he didnt like saying it but it was true, Sam had been how David realised that, they went from hanging out nearly every day to David rarely seeing her. Sure people would say that was because David was at Hogwarts and she wasnt, but he knew Evie preferred Sam over him, she wouldnt say it but he knew. Although he knew all this, he still wanted to be there and help her raise the baby, although he had a feeling some guy would come along and replace him in that too. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* my little decoy, don't look so blue , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If there was one thing that Scarlett believed in, it was that anyone, man, woman or otherwise, should always have the rite to feel safe, no matter where they are. Of course there were obvious exceptions, like on the edge of a cliff, or almost touching an obviously live electrical line, but in most normal circumstances, (and whoever had that as normal were far from normal and sane), everyone deserved to feel as though they would be fine. In no case was it acceptable for someone to feel threatened or unsafe whilst in the presence of another human being, and right now, Scarlett didn't feel safe. All of these options presented themselves in her head, of things that could happen with David in a mood like this. It was obvious he wasn't himself, he just didn't seem right. Alright so the last time she'd seen him they'd gotten steadily drunk together, and that probably wasn't the best thing to base her opinion off, but he was nothing like he was right now, and she couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong with him. "Thank you"
she breathed as he moved away, moving her hand from her wand. The relief that flooded through her was obvious, but her wand was still close, just in case. She wasn't taking any chances. "I don't like people getting to close when their mood is unstable" she replied, biting her lip. "What happened to you, David?" she asked, hating this new version. She wanted the old one back, the nice David who wouldn't hurt a fly. "David, don't argue with a seer about the future. Just a tip" she replied, knowing that as he was so smart and usually so caring there had to be a future and a life with someone for him, and if it wasn't then the world was full of injustice. Although, she'd forseen a man murdered because he loved the wrong person too much, and then saw his girlfriend find out that she was carrying his child and he never really got any chance at all to know that child. That was injustice. "David, she's going to need you in these next few months. I know she'll want your support in all things. Her mood will go everywhere, and there'll be days when you feel like she doesn't want you around, but the fact is that she'll be like that to everyone, and the next day she'd be normal again. She needs someone to rely on now that he's gone, and you're that guy, David." she replied, hesitating, taking her and and putting it in her pocket before moving around to the seat next to him. "But if you keep walking around saying things like that, then she's not going to want you to be around her. She's lost enough people close to her, don't you think? Don't you dare be responsible for the loss of another." she replied, trying to explain. "You don't want to hurt her, I can see that, but if you kill yourself or if she loses you, David there'll be another hole in her life. Her heart will be full of them, and they don't heal easily, trust me" she replied, biting her lip. Scarlett had loved someone, or at least was sure she had, but he'd turned out to be a jerk, who ended it after she gave him something that no one else could ever have from her. It was silly though, because even afterward, she missed his good points, and the good times that they shared, and that was what hurt the most. You'd lost something that you'd been so reliant on, and that you assumed would be a constant in your life. That was what cut deep.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * you should have seen right through, i'm using you . There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David nodded, she was right, his mood was definitely unstable so he could hardly say anything about that, in fact that was probably the best way to describe him right now, in stable, he was a mess. Then she asked a question he could almost laugh at, what had happened. "Everything bloody happened" he told her through gritted teeth, it sure felt like everything had happened, first off the girl he loves dates some other guy just before David had planned to ask her out, then he dies and he gets to see Evie hurt as destroyed inside, then he finds out she's pregnant with the dead guy's child, then he finds out his parents aren't his parents and his actual father is Styx and the reason Sam died could be all his fault. He was deffinetly not having the best of times.
"Go on then, Seer, tell me my future, tell me that Evie wont meet some other guy and that i wont get even more depressed" he said, if anyone could prove him wrong it was a Seer and although he was expecting her to just tell him all the things he'd said would happen will, he was hoping he was wrong. "I know she needs someone to rely on, and I'll be there untill she finds someone else who she likes more than me" he admitted, he cared about her, he wasnt just going to leave her. "She'll never loose me, all she has to do is call and i come running along to help her out but I'll loose her... I've lost her before" he admitted, he'd sure felt like he'd lost her when Sam showed up.. he didnt want to feel it again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* my little decoy, don't look so blue , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Scarlett wanted to ask him to be specific. Let's be honest, 'everything' was a pretty broad spectrum of possibilities. He was still alive, wasn't he? That was a start. Heck, even if you were dead in this world you had another chance, the ghosts walking the halls of Hogwarts had proved that. Although, she wouldn't want to be a ghost. Being alive was much better, there were more possibilities, and there was still the possibility of food, sex and other happy and feel good things. Not that sex had ever particularly been a positive thing for her. To be honest, actually, it never really gave her a positive feeling because by now she was connecting it with negative things, almost involuntarily. She didn't want that, because if she did, she'd end up as an old crone who never let anyone near her and thought that sex was a chore, and that wasn't what it was at all, really. But then it was hard to be positive about sex when your first love left you after you gave yourself to him, and the second boy you were with openly called you a mistake. Sure, it was true, she knew it, and she felt the same way, that night was a mistake, but that didn't mean that it hurt any less to be called that. She'd still shared her body with him. It had still happened, whether they regretted it or no, and if he'd stuck through until the morning that wouldn't have changed anything, no more than leaving before she woke up did. The only thing it did change was the possibility of the awkward after sex talk. 'uh, morning, did we...' and all that jazz. She wouldn't have wanted to skirt around that topic when the answer was pretty clear to be a yes. "I'm sorry David, but you're going to have to be more specific than that. Just because I'm a seer, that doesn't mean I know everything, you know"
she replied, although she'd seen some things about Evie recently of course. She knew that they were close. She knew that Evie would look to him for support in the next few months of her life, more than she had ever done before. Or at least that was the way she saw it for now. "It doesn't work like that, David. I can't tell you for sure. You know that. The future is objective, everything is based off choice. It wasn't fair you know. Sam didn't have any choice. The choice to end his life was made by someone who had no right. They destroyed him, and they destroyed Evie. It's not your fault." Scarlett spoke softly in an attempt to comfort David. She didn't like anyone being depressed, she knew where that could lead too, and immediately her thought was to maybe tell someone, see who could do anything about it, but there was the thing, she didn't know who to trust anymore, or who she could tell about things like this. Styx wouldn't care. Theo maybe. Maybe she could go to him and tell him to keep an eye out for David or something. She should go to the head of house really, but in all honesty, she'd rather go to people she knew were on the good side, and she knew that Theo Lupin would never go to the dark side, because of everything that happened with his parents. There was no way. And now, Evie's child faced something a little like what he did. At least her baby had one parent left. "David, that's not fair. You can't just judge on caring more. The way matters too. I could say I love you, that doesn't mean I'm in love with you. They're two different things, I know you know that, but right now it doesn't seem like that. She loves you, yeah, she does, she wouldn't call all the time if she wouldn't. Who knows. One day that could turn into the other love. You have to wait, David, wait for her" she advised, knowing that if he was patient, maybe she would love him in the way he wanted. But she couldn't force that, and so waiting was all he had. "And then she'll call, and you'll have her back." Scarlett pointed out, knowing that there was no way that Evie would just carry on without David's friendship one day. It didn't work like that.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * you should have seen right through, i'm using you . There's no way in hell
I will let you leave David wished she idnt have to push him for answeres but she was, as is human nature so he would just do his best to answer without giving away absolutely everything. "A lot of stuff happened ok, my entire life has just been turned upsde down recently" he told her, it realy had, he didnt exactly feel like himself anymore and he had a good reason to, everything that had made him who he was had pretty much changed, so he had to try and descover who he actually is.. or just give up completely, but he was determed not to give up so easily. David listened to what she had to say about the future and how it isnt written in stone and what not and how it wasnt his fault Sam was 'destroyed' and so was Evie.. he listened and wanted to believe it but he knew deep down he played a larger part in it than most people actually knew.
"It is" he confessed, he hated himself for it but still, it was mainly his fault, he'd been the one who told Jon about Eve and Sam and he must have told Evie's parents and.. it wall all his fault. It rested heavy on his conciounce.. he couldnt help but feel bad, wishing he could go back and stop the entire thing, but that wasnt the worst part of it for him, the worst part was that slighty, he was kind of greatful and that fact scared him, how could he be greatful for something so evil. He then fell silent to listen to her once again, 'wait' she said, he shook his head almost immediatly after the word left her lips. "No, i've waited long enough, waiting does nothing and only leads to hurt, i've waited and waited and i''ll wait no more" David said sitting up in his chair, he hated just doing nothing and waiting for things to happen, that's what gotten him into this predicament in the first place, maybe if he'd have done something a while ago none of the terrible things that had happened would have. "I cant wait.. if i do, i could end up worst than i am now" Let you just get up And walk out on me. Wearing: Outfit Comment: tis ok Lyrics: Let you go - Chase N' Status Credit: Me

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -* my little decoy, don't look so blue , - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Scarlett didn't want to push him for answers, but to best help him out, she had to know what was going on, or at least have the basics of it. For someone who could see the future, she was seemingly misinformed, but it seemed that everything she did see right now was slightly clouded, and it always focused on the Dalton's, so she couldn't really see much else, and seeing as she couldn't do a great job of controlling it at all, it wasn't like focusing basically on David would do her any good at all. Not to mention the fact that whilst she was asleep, she basically got her best predictions, and she couldn't pick who she was concentrating on when she wasn't conscious. "This makes no sense, you're being so vague. I can't help if I don't know, David. But I guess I wasn't that much of a big help when I did know, either" she replied, thinking about it and heaving a sigh. She'd seen Sam die. She'd felt the pain it would bring with it, and still, she'd not been able to do anything. Maybe it was because she was trying to kid herself that she was wrong, that it wasn't going to happen, that there was no risk on Sam's life, but there was. He was gone and she didn't lift a finger to help. She could have done something, but still she decided to believe that it wasn't going to happen. She did nothing. Now he was dead, and Evie was alone with a baby on the way. No, not just a baby. His baby. Just like Sam's death, the news of his child was bound to change everything again, she could tell it would, it was one of those feelings that she got. And her instincts were usually on the money, but then not about everything, as she'd found out so regretfully in the past.
Looking back now, she didn't know how she couldn't just tell that as soon as she caved in to do what he wanted, he'd leave her. It was pretty obvious to her now that all that her boyfriend at the time stuck around for was to take her virginity. After that he'd moved on to the next girl who he thought he had a chance with and she was left behind, convinced that she loved him. Adam, that absolute idiot, that was his name, and she hated him for it. He'd hurt her more than any one else because he was the one she'd let get closest to her. Him. Why him? No idea, she just had a feeling that it was right. Oh how wrong she was, back then. But now, how did she know that she shouldn't doubt her instincts today? What had changed so much since then? Of course she wasn't so naive anymore, nor was she so innocent, she'd had some more bad influences in her life to see to that, the most notable being this guy called James, who was an idiot, but she couldn't help but love him. Just not like that. Never like that. "Look David, unless you were the ones to hand Sam to them on a plate, then I highly doubt that you had anything to do with his death what so ever"
she replied, matter-of-factly. Of course what she didn't know was that she'd hit the money, that was exactly what he had done. But Scarlett wouldn't believe that he did it knowing what would happen. David was still himself, no matter what happened. "Then move on. David. Find someone else, someone new, someone exciting, someone that you can love and that will love you back" she replied, biting her lip. She knew it sounded easy but it really wasn't, but then it was the only thing she could think for him to do. She wished it was easy. Then they could both be happy.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * you should have seen right through, i'm using you .
