THE only thing that bugged Louis about Hogwarts was that if you wanted something to eat, you either had to go to the Great Hall at mealtimes, or else walk all the way to the kitchens. No room service! Or perhaps dorm service was a more appropriate term? Whatever you called it, there was no such thing. He certainly missed just asking Fleur to make him a cheese sandwich, but the summer holidays weren't far off, and it wouldn't be long before he had that luxury once again.
HOWEVER, that was a short distance into the future, but there was no way he was going to wait until then to get some food! His stomach was rumbling like crazy, so he'd just have to put up with having to walk all the way from the seventh floor to below the castle. Providing he didn't feint on the way that was. He managed to make it with a surprising amount of energy still stored and ready to go. He needn't say a single word to the house elves - as soon as his stomach growled for food, they nodded once to him and started on a sandwich.
IT was always a cheese sandwich. He had a habit of coming down here at least every other day, and after a month or two, they got the hint that he'd want a cheese sandwich. It was finished within no time at all, but he couldn't particularly be bothered to go back up to the common room just yet. For now, Louis would just hang around and wait for someone else to turn up, and hope they would be willing to talk to a twelve year old.

Chris found himself sitting in his common room hungry, after finishing off a chocolate frog someone had stupidly left on the side he decided he was still hungry and he knew the place to go. The kitchens was one of his favourite places at Hogwarts, mainly because the house-elves actually liked cooking you stuff, he could sit there and ask them to cook him stuff he had only ever heard of and give it a while then out they come with it. It amazed him as he couldn't cook at all. Or at least without some realy simple instructions.
It took him a while to get to the kitchens but he figured it would be way worth it, he had decided to ask for some cookies as he was a big fan of cookies and pretty much any other kind of treat that wasn't that good for you. With a smile he entered the Kitchen and among all the little house elves wandering around he noticed someone much taller and his smirk formed on his face. "Louis" he said simply walking towards his cousin.
A fellow weasley was always welcome anywhere, or at least that was Chris's opinion, he loved his family and would rather die then see one of them in great pain. "oh before i forget, can i get some cookies?" he asked to one of the closer house elves. Sure he didn't realy need to ask but to be honest he was fairly fond of the house elves and had decided when he got his own house he would get a house elf as well. Obviously it should be able to cook as he would probably end up starving if he lived alone.

THE cheese sandwich had soon satisfied his hunger, as well as the slightly bloated feeling that came from eating too quickly. It would wear off for a minute or two, but it was still unpleasant for the time being. He asked one of the house elves to get him a glass of pumpkin juice, to which he nodded and hurried off to fulfil his request. Had the school employed people in the kitchens, they'd probably have quit a long time ago with students and staff asking them for food and drink almost continuously throughout the day.
WHETHER employing house elves instead was a better idea was something that was quite often discussed at the school. They didn't complain anywhere near as much as a human may have done, and they seemed to get a certain enjoyment out of running around after the other residents of the castle. Then again, they weren't paid a penny for it, which Louis certainly didn't think was fair considering the amount of effort they put into their work and the results that they produced. He'd have put money on at least half of the students at Hogwarts having no idea where the food came from.
THE arrival of his cousin soon brought a smile up onto his face, the bloated feeling now having worn off. "Chris." There were a hell of a lot more Weasleys now than there had been in the previous generation which featured their parents. Of all of them, Chris was probably one of his favourites. He was more willing to go against rules than some of the others, which had allowed them to cause trouble on countless occasions. Perhaps that had something to do with George being Chris' father, though the perhaps wasn't exactly necessary. Louis was positive of that.

Chris smiled slightly "Well I'm not surprised to see you here you greedy git" he joked, to be honest it seemed he was running into his own family more commonly recently, it was only a while ago he ran into his own sister in the owlery. "So Lou, hows everyone your end of the family?" he asked curiously, by that he meant mother father, siblings e.t.c all the closer family. It had been a while since all the weasleys got together, actually it was probably Christmas, either way it was amazing when all the weasleys got together, although to be honest Chris sometimes got the names mixed up of his cousins, sure he could remember them if he was alone with them but when hes with a group of weasleys it gets a bit confusing.
Surprisingly quickly the house elf came back with a plate of cookies. "Oh nice" Chris said smiling at the house elf and taking the plate putting a cookie into his mouth whole, which wasn't a wise idea as it was possibly to big to swallow so he was reduced to making realy weird chewing faces to try and at least get some of it down. Once it was down he took a big breath. I could do with some milk and then a nap he thought for a moment then looked at Louis.
"Fancy a cookie?" he asked motioning the plate toward him. Chris could eat them all on his won easily, he was fairly greedy but being a beater he managed to work off the junk food he eats, most of it anyway.

"HEY, you eat way more than me," louis retorted with a childish smile, which in all fairness wasn't particularly stupid seeing as he was a child as far as his parents were concerned. he personally saw a different side to the story since he was now able to wave his wand without burning everything within two metres of him, most of the time anyway. then again, louis felt that his mother probably even saw victoire as a child, and she'd left hogwarts a few years ago. perhaps that was just a mother thing? whatever the case, it was still rather annoying.
"ERR, not bad i guess. dad's having more mood swings than mum, but everthing's fine apart from that. what about you guys?" it was often difficult for everyone to keep track of what other members of the family had been up to. there were so many weasleys that it took several weeks to catch up with everyone. then again, it left plenty to talk about at christmas, so there was rarely an awkward silence. he raised an eyebrow as his cousin attempted to eat a cookie whole, before bursting into laughter at his peculiar facial expressions.
"STILL think that i'm the greedy one? he said to chris when he had managed to stop laughing. the plate was offered in his direction, to which louis politely shook his head before saying, "nah, i'm fine thanks. it's more fun to watch you eat them actually."

Chris rolled his eyes with a smirk "I may eat more then you but your still a greedy git" he joked. Chris found himself being much more jolly and friendly around first years, maybe it was because they were small or maybe it was because they looked young but he tended to act more foolishly to try and make them laugh. Usually he ended up looking like some weirdo but he still ended up making someone laugh.
"Well your dad's always like that" he said with a smirk then pause a moment "Well mom's always checking up on em to make sure i havent done anything stupid like burnt down the forest and Dad's telling me i should burn it down but with fire that doesn't burn so it confuses the hell out of the wildlife" he said with a laugh, his parents contradicted each other a lot, his mother was the sane one an Chris and his father were the practical jokers of the family. Chris could say that his father was his father as well as one of his best friends.
"Yep" Chris said with a laugh then smirked slightly as Louis said it was more fun watching him eat. Chris then winked and threw a cookie into the air attempting to catch it in his mouth, he failed and it fell on the floor. Picking it up he looked around then with a 'shh' motion at Louis then shoved it in his mouth hole, completely forgetting how hard it was to eat then whole.

"fair enough," louis replied. he could hardly deny that he loved food, nor could any of the weasleys, but then it was almost a necessity when it was molly weasley who cooked at christmas. she always seemed to produce twice as much food as was needed, and would insist that every last crumb was eaten before anybody went to sleep. the process was repeated at new year's too, and then again at the end of the school year. whenever anybody turned seventeen, the feast was made once again. it was a surprise that so few of them were obese when they had to eat so much.
"you're confusing the hell out of me just talking about it!" burn the forest with a fire that doesn't burn? how was that possible? then again, he was only twelve years old, it wasn't expected of him to understand that kind of thing... was it? if anybody could find a way of doing so, louis was sure that it was chris and his father, maybe even maxine if she put her mind to it. in fact, most of the weasleys, the older ones at least, could probably have found one way or another to create a fire that didn't burn. now louis was just confusing himself even more.

Chris smirked slightly "Sooo.. got yourself a little girlfriend yet?" he asked with a wink. Chris could almost laugh at the image of Louis going around the school with a girl on his arm. Ok it wouldnt be that weird for him to actually get a girlfriend but chris saw him as just a little boy so to him it was pretty weird. Then again he saw his own sister who was just a year younger then him as like a baby. "Theres a lot of hot girls in this school that are still single, so you better swipe one fast" he said making it sound like some sort of shopping deal 'All stock must go'.
Chris smirked slightly, he had understood what his father had said straight away, maybe being exposed to his father for such a long time was messing with his brain. "Basically... never mind it'll just confuse you.. but i think hes working on making non-flammable fire.. something like that... as well as about one hundred other things, its amazing he still has time to breath" Chris said with a small shrug, his father realy surrounded himself with his work.. but then again his work was kind of cool.
