I can live without him. I will move on Annie assured herself, forcing a smile on her face. No, that looked too fake. She was staring at herself in the mirror, practicing on how to be ‘Annie’ again. She’d lost herself recently because she’d been tied to Chris, and then the break-up had messed with her feelings, made her feel as if she wasn’t good enough. Well she was sick of feeling like that, and she was sick of people ragging on her. So what if she was wrong, so what if he’d not cheated. The fact that she didn’t trust him enough to actually listen to him showed how much she trusted him really, and that couldn’t be much, if she took Trevor’s word over his! She cared about him, loved him, but you couldn’t be in a relationship when you didn’t trust the person you were with, completely and unquestioningly, and she didn’t trust Chris like that, and that was painfully clear. So she was focusing now, on getting herself together and being more like she used to be, before Chris. She was going to go on living like she never met him, like he’d not hurt her, because the only way to be herself again was to be happy, and when thinking about him, she couldn’t do it. He’d pushed her too far with that meeting the other day, and he’d nearly pushed her straight into Trevor’s bed. Well actually, Trevor into her bed, because his bed was far away, as she understood it, and in a messy bedroom.
That wasn’t the point. Annie wasn’t a wreck, she didn’t randomly burst out crying, and she usually walked around with a smile on her face. She wasn’t proud of how she’d acted the past few weeks, but she wasn’t herself, and she hated who she’d become then. So she was back to her witty and normal self, ready with a truck load of sarcasm and a bag full of Honeydukes sweets, ready to be herself again, finally. only actresses get paid for acting different to who they really are, Annie, remember that She remembered her Nan telling her. She smiled at that thought, a true smile, an Annie smile, and she looked normal again. ”Just be yourself. As long as you have that, then nothing else matters”
She spoke to herself, pulling her hair back into a bobble. She’d dressed in one of her favourite outfits, including her cute penguin necklace, and her favourite pair of converse. (She had four to chose from, thanks to her parents buying her loads for Christmas), but her favourite were colourful with different colour laces, which she loved as it was kind of random and odd. And apparently odd things were lucky, like wearing odd socks, which is also incidentally what she was doing now, cause she needed luck to have a good day. And if luck didn’t come through, she’d just have to make her day good herself, but that required a whole lot of effort, so she was hoping that luck was on her side. She was relatively calm too, today, and had decided that she’d wander over to the shrieking shack, take her mp3 player and just have a good time. She was also thinking about heading over to the three broomsticks in the night, see who was there to hang out with, then go sleep in her apartment. She wanted to dance, and have a laugh, and just be herself! She was so tempted to take the train to muggle London for the night, and hang out in some under eighteen clubs, have a dance and a laugh, see who she can meet, and then come back and sleep at her apartment, but she wasn’t sure yet. She needed to make sure that she was back for Monday’s lessons though, because otherwise she’d be screwed! Heading out the door, her keys and a bottle of 7UP in her hand, and her wand in a bag on her shoulder, she locked the door, making sure that it was locked tight before she left. If she went to London she’d have to drop her wand home firs though. It didn’t take long from her home to get to the shack, and she was leaning over the barrier and listening to her music before she knew it. After a few moments alone, she could just make out the crunch of approaching footsteps through the music, and she turned her head to see who it was.[/blockquote] Okay so this here post was made for the one and only random person (aka it‘s open xD) and it’s counted at a fantastical 754 words! Before you wander away, you should know that I don‘t mind who answers this lol as long as they‘re nice to my baby! (: Karma for any nice people, I promise! hey lucy, i remember your name ... the radio alarm clock's volume blasted in ruby's ear. blindly, she reached out, hitting things until the music stopped. she mumbled something incoherent, and brought her palms to her eyes, rubbing the sleep from them. finished with that, she opened them up, icy blue irises wide as the pupil's shrunk with the sudden light. ruby squinted, and huffed, sitting up and looking around. it seemed as if she were the last to wake up, although she had been the last to go to sleep as well. sufferring from insomnia wasn't exactly a cup of tea. with a small groan, she swung her legs around and off the bed, standing on the rickety wooden floors of the dorms in hogwarts. stretching for a moment, she wondered what she'd wear today. after about five minutes of dithering, she decided on shorts and a superman t-shirt she had. slipping them on quickly, she grabbed her patched old bag that contained a journal, sketchbook, and some pencils. oh, and deodorant. you never know when you might need it.
she decided to go to hogsmeade today. freshening up to only a few minutes, and she was away, down the staircases and out the big doors that the school was so fond of. they must be heavy, she thought as she passed them. she wondered who was in charge of closing them as she turned down the road that lead the small wizarding town. she grinned once she got there. people all over were laughing and talking and having a good time. days like this were good, she thought as she shifted her gaze from person to person. and then she saw a mother and daughter. they were blondes, but they were laughing at some inside joke. ruby's smile faded and she felt her shoulders droop. the mother then entered a bar, leaving the girl outside looking confused, but not surprised. ruby's heart knew that sort of ache. she backed up a few steps, suddenly feeling the need to be alone. she grinded her teeth together, turning on her heels and running down a small and wooded path. she found herself outside the shrieking shack. well, what better place to be alone? stomping down the meadow and past the fence that was supposed to lure you away, she marched up to the building, feeling her chest swelling with a familiar emotion, grief probably. ruby didn't want to diagnose the feeling. she'd let it be as mysterious as her mother was. when her mother was around.

Annie couldn't believe that she'd let her heart win and drag her into a relationship with Chris Weasley! Alarm bells should have gone off in her head, but there was nothing, no warning or anything, not until he said he'd hurt her. And he had, and now she was going to stop thinking about it and move on. Annie pushed up the volume of her music and cast her eyes up to the shack. Apparently this abandoned building had been there for years, empty and dust filled, and echoing screams down it's halls. Many kids said it was haunted, filled with dangerous and frieghtening ghosts. Annie didn't believe a word of it! every ghost that Annie had ever seen or met had been nice enough, laughing and joking, like nearly headless nick, who was always a good laugh when at a party! He'd always do his party trick, hanging his half cut head off, and displaying exactly the reason why he was called 'nearly headless'. In fact, she'd been silly enough to ask him why he was called that in her first year, but she'd not screamed, thankfully, because even then she had a whole load of self control.
Annie was so lost in random thought that for a second, she was sure that she'd imagined it when she heard below the music, advancing footsteps, but she saw a girl push past her and march right up to the house. Annie stood there for a moment, filled with random shock. What the hell was this girl up to? Annie had been to the shack before of course, but she'd only gotten a little way past the fence, and had to go back because some prefects were eying her, and she wasn't about to get into trouble, when she could go another time when no one was around. Well, it looked like it was another time! Annie jogged ahead, following the girl, and managing to stow away her headphones as she went, making sure that her ipod was safely in her bag. As the building got closer and closer, Annie's only thought was that there was nothing dangerous in there to hurt her and the girlie that had marched ahead. "HEY! Wait up, you nearly gave me a heart attack then!"
She said, catching up to the girl and putting her hand on the girls shoulder. Her other hand went for her wand, as Annie wasn't about to be this close to the shack with no means of protection. Sure, there may not be ghosts in there, but something had to make the noise, and she wasn't about to risk danger from anything else. Her mother always told her to keep calm and carry her wand, because if she needed it, she had it ready. Especially whilst in a place like the shack, or the forest too, because you never knew what you'd meet. Annie knew that the forest had things like Thestrals, because she'd caught a glimps of one before. She could see them because she'd seen death in the form of her grandfather, Michael, even though she was really small when it happened. She even knew that the forest was home to centaurs, although she'd not been lucky enough to meet one of them yet, though she was still hoping! She'd have to take another wander into the forest soon, see what else she'd meet in there! "I'm Annie" Annie introduced herself with a smile, hoping that this girl wouldn't mind her tagging along. Even though she'd go, regardless.[/blockquote] Okay so this here post was made for the one and only RUBY and it’s counted at a fantastical 590 words!
