IS IT TRUE THAT YOU'RE ALWAYS THIS BREATHTAKING?
you're smart and you're willing ,

Kristina bit her lip as she made her way through the hallway, trying to avoid running into anyone as she didn't really feel like apologizing to anyone at the moment. She wasn't in a bad mood or anything but she had left the commonroom a little while ago planning to go do something and had gotten merely ten feet down the hall before she ran into some third year on their way to a revising session with a teacher. The girl had been having trouble with her ancient runes and had scheduled some time with her teacher after class so she could get ready for her next test. Kris had learned all that while helping the girl pick her books up off the floor. The girl was quite the chatterbox, and that was saying something considering Kristina could talk for hours on something simple like grass growing or how different people brush their teeth. Needless to say, by the time she finished picking up the books and went to turn back in the direction she had been going, she had quite forgotten all about whatever task it was she had set out to do. She figured it must not have been quite as important as she had previously thought since it had slipped from her mind so easily and tried to think of what she wanted to do next.
She didn't want to go back up to the commonroom because people were always going in and out and really got quite distracting. Plus, she knew almost everybody in her house already, so the likelihood of anything new happening was pretty low. She sighed, trying to think of a place on the school grounds that she had yet to be in. Seeing as she'd been at the school for six years now, there really were only one or two places that came to mind. The first was the forbidden foorest, which she was not planning on going into even with a thousand staff members. The second though was a rather reasonable idea, the covered bridge. She had never really thought about it as a hang out but it had a good view and there usually weren't loads of students crossing it. Krissy, feeling triumphant for finding a place to spend the afternoon headed off in the direction of the bridge. Humming along the way.
When she reached the bridge, it was empty, just like she had hoped. She walked out into the middle of it and looked out of one of the openings down at the ravine below. She wondered what, if anything, was down there. And how the ravine got there. She sat there for a few moments trying to think up ways that some type of natural or magical disaster could have created the big rip in the ground. She thought of a few good ones and actually started explaining her idea aloud unti she remembered that she was outside on a bridge alone. Not sitting in the commonroom with a group of friends. She sighed and sat down, leaning against the wall of the bridge, closing her eyes. If she was lucky, someone would come along and interrupt her thoughts. If not she'd spend some time here and then head back to the kitchens for a snack.
