Frequently Asked Questions
Does my character have to pick a side?
No. They don't have to, but the more people we have on each side, the better things will be when the plot really gets going. If your character isn't really the type to get involved with this type of thing, or just hasn't made their mind up which side to choose, they can remain neutral. At what point do things become AU?
At the end of Chapter 36 of the Deathly Hallows, so the whole series happened but not the epilogue. Saying that, you can also slot some AU into the series if it's appropriate. For example, it doesn't state as to whether Minerva McGonagall had children on not, so you're more than welcome to create a character that is descended from her, as with other characters like Alecto Carrow, Mr. Ollivander, Cornelius Fudge, etc. The only exceptions to this however are the four founders, Albus Dumbledore, and Tom Riddle. If you can find a loophole, feel free to take it, but check with the staff first. ; )Can I have sub-plots of my own?
Yes, though please make sure it involves at least three characters belonging to three different members. If it's just two characters, then it really isn't worth calling a sub-plot. You should have a general idea of where you want the plot to start, how you want it to progress, and the stage it will be at when it finishes. You should check with the staff first by sending your sub-plot to them in the same format as current sub-plots.My questions isn't on here, what should I do?
Don't panic! You can leave a message in the chatbox or send a PM to a member of staff and we'll answer you as quickly as is possible and to the best of our ability, hopefully answering your question and giving you a little extra information too. We might even add it to this thread so that other members with the same question can find out the answer too!
