This place smelled like goats or freaking something. Trevor had been barely working here for a week and he already hated it. It was something, though, right? This place was filthy, though, and so were the people that came in. They were so.. weird, too. That was putting it nicely! Most of the time he couldn't even see the faces of the people he was tending to. There were the occasional students who actually wandered in, or the normal people. He still felt out of place and awkward, to say the least. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in years. The windows were so dirty and covered in grime that barely any sunlight filtered through. The till was so ancient that he was almost positive this place was built during the dinosaur times, and hadn't had any upgrades. Even the towels here were dirty, and they were supposed to clean things! The worst part about it, was that business was slow. That seemed to be normal, though. Their stuff also happened to be rather cheaper than The Three Broomsticks, so he wondered how in the world this place hadn't gone out of business yet.
He felt the need to dress darker, to fit in just a little bit more with this place. He felt like he needed to dye his hair black, as well. He wouldn't go that far, though. He was wearing his black gummy bracelets, though, or whatever they were called these days. He had forgotten he had these until he had started packing his suitcases and stumbled upon them. He had tons of colors, but went with black. He didn't want to stand out more than he already seemed to. It didn't help that with slow business came much time to daydream, and think about random things. Usually those thoughts fell upon Annie. That had to be one of the worst annoyances in the world. Why did he always think about her? This job sucked, too, but at least he was just finishing up for the day. Those two added together equaled a pretty discombobulated Trevor. He wanted to just have a break, do something to take his mind off of Annie and everything else. But mostly Annie. A good drink would do, right? Maybe a few? Firewhiskey, yes, he would have some of that. Getting himself two servings of firewhiskey, he took a seat at the bar, and could've sworn that stool felt like it was going to snap beneath his weight or something. Was he getting fat? Too much fried chicken, maybe. It was nearing evening and the place was virtually empty. How did that work? Whatever, some good drinks outta knock him around a little. He hadn't had a drink in a while, and it felt good as he sipped away at his firewhiskey, with that little burning sensation it brought, staring off at nothingness.

There was one more day left before Zak returned to Dublin for the summer. She always spent and extra week in Hogsmeade, it was tradition. However, this was the first time she’d be of legal drinking age. She wasn’t going to go out and get plastered or anything. That had never sounded fun. Drunken people were funny to watch but she didn’t want to be someone else’s entertainment. She slowly talked herself into getting out of bed and getting dressed. Her last day in Hogsmeade and her first time out legally drinking? She felt like the occasion called for a dress. Not a fancy schmancy dress; a simple, fun, flirty sundress would be perfect. She pulled a green, pink, black, and white dress out of her pack and slipped it over her head, tying a bow in the back. She pushed her toes into a pair of black heels and fastened the buckles. She wrapped a silver and pink necklace around her neck and fastened the clasp. Zak slipped her usual green ring onto her hand. She grabbed a hair tie from her bag and pulled her hair back into a sloppy bun. She grabbed a colorful clutch, into which she stuffed her wallet and wand. She meandered down the steps of the apartment building and down the main road of Hogsmeade, pausing outside the Three Broomsticks. It was a nice place, but their regular drinks were sort of expensive so she couldn’t even imagine the price of the alcoholic ones.
Zak continued down the road to the Hog’s Head. She had never been in there before but supposedly the prices were much cheaper. She hesitated outside the dim doorway. It was dark and dreary and more than a little bit scary. “Ah, what the hell?” she thought, pushing the door open and walking in. The smell of goats, or sheep, or something of that family, hit her the second she crossed the threshold. The place was empty except for one person in a black shirt with blonde hair sitting at the counter. She walked over to the counter and took a seat a few places away from the man already seated at the counter. She glanced around behind the counter, looking for a bartender and finding none. She looked up at the list of drinks behind the counter, figuring the bartender would show up sooner or later. There were so many names she hardly recognized and many more that didn’t ring a single bell in her mind. About halfway down the list was Firewhiskey. “That’s what I’ll have,” she decided definitively. However, there was still no sign of him or her. “Do you have any idea where this guy is?” she asked in the direction of the other human at the bar. She glanced down for his response and realized that she was actually sitting by none other than Trevor Schumacher. And, boy, did he look out of it. “Trevor?” she asked cautiously.

How had Trevor managed to drink his first serving of Firewhiskey? He was already feeling weird. Alcohol and him never went well. He always seemed to get out-of-whack not long after he started drinking, which is a main reason why he tried to avoid drinking more than one glass of something. It was almost like his body couldn't handle alcohol that well. Strange. Well, at least it seemed to be working, for the time being. His mind was kind of wandering off where the bunnies and rainbows and unicorns were. Maybe he would have another dream about cute little bunnies tonight. Ew, god, he was such a chick sometimes that it disturbed him. He was so off into his own little world that he hadn't even heard someone enter the building. He was supposed to be in charge of this place for the time being, but with it having been so empty, he had taken a break. Not really wise to get drunk on the job, was it?
Trev's head snapped quickly to the side when he heard a voice, seeing a girl seated a couple stools away from him. He even jumped a little, it had actually frightened him. It had been so silent that his ears were ringing, and then BAM. How had this girl managed to get in here so stealthily like that? It was kind of disturbing. He peered at her intently. She had just said his name, so she must have known him, "Hey, I know you," he began, practically mumbling, "Zak.. attack," he added, chuckling lightly at his new lame nickname for her. Oh, she must have been looking for the bartender, "Oh, well, you're looking at him," he added in a rather bored tone, "Do you.. like.. want something?" he asked, raising a brow as he took another drink of his second firewhiskey. He felt all warm inside, now. He let his eyes roam up and down her body, noticing that she looked too nicely and cheerfully dressed to have found her way in this dreary pub, of all places. Maybe she had gotten lost? She wasn't bad to look at, though, after all of his previous customers.

The drab interior of the Hog’s Head was beginning to put a damper on Zak’s mood. Add in Trevor’s slightly drunken stupor, and it was going downhill fast. She was glad that she had worn a happy, summery dress. There were cob webs everywhere that the eye could see, even in the cup that Trevor had just emptied. Maybe she didn’t want a drink from here after all. But on the other hand, Trevor was here, and as much as she knew she should keep her hands off him, he was just tempting enough. She decided to stay, get a drink, and talk to this boy that was more than dangerous for her to touch.
“Zak… attack.” That was one she heard all the time. She glanced down at him. He was so out of it. “Oh, well, you’re looking at him.” [color=D9776AWell someone sounds like they’re enjoying their job,
Zak thought to herself. “Do you… like… want something?” he asked her. She nodded in return. “Can you get me a firewhiskey? I’ve never drank anything before. And I’ve heard it’s a good one.” She nodded slowly. Yeah, she had ordered her first drink. Well, the first drink she would actually be getting, that is. She had tried to order drinks before but was never actually served them because she couldn’t keep them from asking her age and she was never good at lying. Now she was legal and didn’t have to worry about them not serving her for being underage.[/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS two-hundred fifty-one TAGGED trevor OUTFIT hereLYRICS "voldemort is awesome" by the malfoys NOTES kinda short. sorry. This probably wasn't one of the smartest ideas Trevor has managed to come up with, but to hell with it. He was almost desperate, at this point. For what, though? He couldn't exactly tell. To just, stop thinking altogether? A distraction? Well, he was headed in that direction. He was still surprised, though, to see someone like Zakari in a place such as this. Especially in the happy clothing she was wearing. He was curious as to if this was her first visit. He got to his feet and managed to find his way around the counter, taking his empty Firewhiskey away. Was she even old enough to drink? He honestly had no idea whether she was seventeen or sixteen, but he was sure she wasn't any younger. Well, who cares? Even if she wasn't quite seventeen, it didn't make much of a difference for him. He really didn't care about that right now. She had never drank anything before? Well, she was in for a nice surprise. The Firewhiskey had quite the kick to it.
He snatched two bottles of Ogden's Old Firewhiskey, one for her and an extra one for himself, opening hers and placing it on the counter in front of her before finding his way back to his stool, only managing to stumble slightly. He wasn't that bad off yet, was he? "You don't have to pay for it or anything, I'll take care of that. I'm just nice like that," he took another sip from his already opened bottle, "So, what brings you to a place like this?" he asked her suddenly. Well, it wasn't like he was slurring everything together, either. That was good. Yeah, he was fine, right? "I mean, it's dark and smells weird.." he continued on, listing the reasons that she probably shouldn't be here. He worked here, so he was probably expected to help bring business in and not scare them out.
