Thomas swirled the glass or red wine that he was holding in his hand, and rubbed his head slowly and deliberately with his other. He had a headache coming on, but he wasn’t going to trouble the nurse with such a small problem, when she had so much more to get on with. Students came first, and so he’d leave the nurse alone. But if it got worse later on, he’d have to go and see her. For now, he was going to sit down calmly and drink his wine, and maybe have a chat should anyone else come along to the staff room and want to talk. He was sat in the chair by the window, looking out at the pretty grounds as the sun set over them. He loved Hogwarts, but he just wished sometimes that his wife was there to see the simple things, like the sun setting over the pretty lawns, casting a warm glow over the castle, and spreading an odd feeling of peace through it. Penny was special, she really was, but he knew that she wouldn’t want him moping over her, so he took another sip of his wine, and smiled blissfully. She wasn’t there to see this scene, but he was, and for that he had to be thankful, as things could be worse.
Yes, things could always be worse, so he had to look for the Brightside. Eventually, Thomas knew that he’d try and find someone else to fall madly in love with, and he knew that Penny would have been happy that he was happy and moving on. He kept her wedding ring, and his together, on a necklace around his neck now, as if he kept the ring on, people asked questions and told him that they didn’t know he’d got married. And questions were awkward, and although he loved to tell people about Penny, he also loved to keep his memories of her locked inside his brain, like they were a part of her that no one else could touch. Thomas stood from the chair and walked over to the bookcase, running his hand over the spines of the books on the shelves. He heard the door open with a loud creak, and turned with a smile on his face to welcome whoever it was. He was glad for some company at last, and hoped that whoever they were, that they would stay.

I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand Theodore strolled into the staff room after a while of wandering around bored, that's where he saw Thomas, smiling at him. "Hey Thomas" Theodore said with a smile as he plonked himself down in a seat and stared out the window, Teddy hadn't realy been able to concentrate that well since Hermione disapeared, he could help but think the only reason he got the charms job was that he was her godson and he was sure there were many more qualified people out there he was just waiting for the new head to turn around and fire him. It was a long long wait which agonised him a bit more. Theo looked up at Thomas and his head tilted to the side slightly "we have wine?" he asked curiously. Obviously he could have summoned some but he never thought to use magic to get stuff he only realy used magic on things he already had.
Theo felt he had warmed with the teachers now well Thomas was at least one of the ones he could get along with fine enough to be on a first name basis. Theo sighed slightly and looked at Thomas. "You ok?" Theo asked simply, he was fairly sure something was up as Thomas had a glass of wine and a glass of wine on a non special occasion was usualy a bad sign. Theo had personally never liked wine when it came to alcohol he drank beer but beer wasn't as moody as wine and if you drank wine it made you seem more deep and .. somewhat poetic. Thomas smiled as he saw Theo walk into the room. He always seemed cheery and nice, and Tom could tell by the way that he walked and talked that Theo was generally a happy person. Thomas had always been good at picking up on body language. He'd once given a girl an entire lecture on her personality, even pointing out that she'd used to bite her nails, had recently stopped, and was ashamed of the stumps that she had for the nails at the moment, just from her curling her fingertips under her hand when she put it down on the desk. He'd been dead on too, and he was proud of his talent to read people so well. He was just a little upset that he'd not read Zane Shames better, before he could do such terrible things to those poor students, Vicky and Kaleb. He wondered how they were, and if they were alright. Maybe he'd check on them. He'd especially check on Kaleb, as it was his duty as head of Slytherin to take care of the pupils in your house. That was why it annoyed him more, as Kaleb was under his charge, and Thomas hadn't noticed what was going on.
"Hey Theo! How's it going, alright?"
Thomas asked nicely, watching as he sat easily in the seat. Thomas always felt at ease and relaxed around Theo, as he gave off that sort of aura. Like he carried happiness and calm with him or something, and spread it to others. Hopefully it would have a positive impact on his headache! Ever since Hermione had gone missing, he'd found it hard not to think about what the letter said, and worry about that new headmaster. Thomas didn't trust him, not a single bit, but he knew that he should, as if Hermione trusted him, then he was surely a trustworthy man. Thomas had tried his best, but he'd always felt awkward and uncomfortable around Styx, so he couldn't stand that, and tried to avoid him as best he could, without letting the new head catch on that he was avoiding him. It wasn't personal, he just couldn't feel comfortable around someone he distrusted that much! It was just instinct, and he was even going to attempt to try and get to know the guy, because if Hermione trusted him to look after one of the things she loved the most, then he was surely the most trustworthy man at Hogwarts! "Yes we do! Well I sort of bought my own, but you're welcome to help yourself! Wolf Bass. It's got a fruity kick to it." Thomas said with a smile, remembering a conversation between his wife and he about it. He could almost feel the weight of her, sat on his lap, and her honey-sweet voice was filling the air, as she swirled the glass of wolfbass in her hand, and described it as that. It was dead on, of course, she'd always had a flair for wine tasting. He'd never been a wine drinker before she'd got him drinking it. She was of a higher class family than him though, and he usually stuck to beer, or the odd firewhisky should he want his throat burned. "Yes, I'm fine thank you! Remembering, that's all" Thomas said with a fond smile, as the picture of his beautiful wife filled his mind again for a moment. He was glad now that he could remember her without breaking down in tears. His only regret was that he didn't get with her sooner, as maybe they would have had a child, and he would have had a part of her left with him. SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Life could be strange sometimes; moments had filled her life that she would often question. Such a moment had been when she had been offered this job at Hogwarts; of course Adrianna had jumped at the chance to return to her second home. Here she was thinking about what strange circumstances had become present in her life and she was walking down the cold corridor with a small stack of assignments she really should get marked. Adrianna was transferring them from her private quarters. Of course she could have flooed with them, the only problem was that they normally became dusty and flew from her arms the moment she tripped over the floor threshold. A small smile rested upon her lips, she could truly say she was content. Even if she had clouds over her head and if the rain fell, she would still stay content, or she hoped that she would. Silently she continued to walk, her heels clicking upon the harsh, stone ground.
Adrianna was wearing a simple outfit, something she was comfortable in. It consisted of a pair of black trousers, a white short sleeved top, with a black bow, completed with a long cardigan and a pair of heels. The front of her dark hair was clipped back, so it was off her face, the rest of it was flowing freely down her back. For a woman of twenty-nine, this seemed a bit old, but she was a professor and when she was around students, this was how she dressed. When she is in her own company or that of friends and family, she would normally dress in a pair of black jeans, a simple top completed with a fitted jacket and her favourite heeled boots, but that was not suitable for a teaching environment. As of this moment, she walked towards the staff room, maybe she should go to her office, but a change of scenery would be nice. Well she hoped it would give the motivation to actually mark the essays. As she walked, she looked out of the windows to see the sun setting over the lake; it was most certainly a beautiful sight, one she had not been able to appreciate for a very long time. Time. That was another curious thing and the fact she would turn thirty next year, was indeed a very scary thought and her mother would not let her drop the matter.
Soon enough, she had arrived at the staff room and began ascending the stairs that would take her to the door. As Adrianna pushed the door open with her foot so she would not drop her papers, she saw that she would not be alone. She gave a small smile as she walked over to the table in front of the table and she shoved the papers upon said table. “Hello Thomas, Theo.” She greeted them both with a smile upon her face as she sat down on the soft sofa that was opposite the fire. It was getting used to talking with other professors, lately she had been in her quarters just trying to finish up last minute lesson plans, or catching up with her marking, so she had not been a regular in the staff room or at the head table at dinner. Often she would take her lunch in her rooms or go to her family home for her mother’s home cooked food, but that was a rare event. “I hope you both don’t mind me coming in here, I mean if you are discussing something, I can easily just go to my office.” Once more finding herself speaking. Adria had not thought that they could be talking about something in private, and she could be invading such privacy. “And since when do we have wine?” She asked without thinking, it was indeed a random thought and question for that matter. "I really should shut up now, I am sorry guys." Adrianna blush a little, before picking up her quill to start marking the first essay on the pile. She had a slight problem of not thinking before she spoke.

I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand Just like Thomas, Theo was usualy good at telling how people were or what they were like just by watching them for a short amount of time but he also hadn't worked out Zane Shames and that girl, Vicky was in his house which made him feel even more foolish he should know the major things that are going on, especially if someone from his house is involved. Well nothing like that would happen again for a while under his watch, or at least he hoped not.
"I'm good" Theo said with a smile from his seat, apart from my godmother being awol and not being able to be out there searching for her he thought but didn't even speak a word of it as that would have just been plain rude. Ted them smiled at the suggestion of wine but shook his head "Best not, i dont want to end up teaching a lesson completely sloshed" he joked trying to make the atmosphere in the room a bit more brighter. "Remembering, well dont remember too hard or it'll mess with your head" Ted said referring to the 'what ifs' in life that occurred when u looked back at things in your past.
Then in walked Adrianna the defence against the dark arts professor. Ted smiled at her as she walked in "Hey Adrianna and no make yourself comfortable" he was going to let Thomas speak about the wine because honestly it was over his head, he just liked the alcohol effects which was probably not a good thing. "dont shut up, we need a bit of feminine intelligence in this place" To set the world in motion By reaching out for each other's hand Outfit: Outfit Comment: Not at all. Thomas smiled when he saw the enthusiastic look cross Theo's face. He was clearly in a good mood, as per usual, and that was also reflected in the easy going and fun tones that were audible in Theo's voice. "Great! I'm glad that your okay, you know, after everything that's gone on. She's a strong and smart woman, she knows what she's doing"
Thomas assured Theo, noticing the slight contemplation cross Theo's face. Thomas guessed he was thinking about Hermione, and he hoped that he'd guessed right, as he didn't like being wrong, although sometimes it happened. When Zane had managed to do everything he had under his nose, well Tom was wrong then too. He was ashamed that he'd not seen that coming, and especially as he'd spent time with kaleb in Potions class, so he should have realised that something was up, especially when Kaleb actually handed in his homework on time! "You have a point there! Ah, well one glass wont hurt me, and I have two free hours to sort myself out before a class crosses through my door at least!" Thomas said with a smile, glad that he'd also got his marking of work over with yesterday, so he had some down time to relax. He laughed a little at the image of Teddy teaching when he was drunk, as he could imagine it! It would be very amusing, and he should have to try and convince Teddy to try it once. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea, but it wouldn't be so bad if it was like the last day of lessons or something! And Thomas would sit in and make sure nothing got out of hand, and have a good laugh about it too! And Teddy was always good at seeing the funny side, so he'd have a laugh with Tom, no doubt! "Yes, it does. But then it also keeps the ones that we lost with us, and helps us to never forget the good times" Tom said with another faint smile, as he closed his eyes for a second, and saw the snippit of the first time he saw his wife on the beach. Merlin she was beautiful! Thomas smiled across at Adrianna. "Why Hello, Adrianna! No! You should stay and make yourself comfortable, we weren't really discussing anything really important!" Thomas said, patting a chair and clearly inviting her to sit and be merry with them. The more the merrier, correct? and Thomas was happy for the company! "Yes! We do have wine! Help yourself, I can always summon some more from my office! I have another un-opened bottle, and two hours to sober up before a lesson!" Thomas said cheerfully, knowing that he wouldn't let himself get drunk when he had a class soon, as he was a responsible man, most of the time. "I agree with Teddy, you shouldn't be quiet, as talking is good for the soul! Or so I've been told" Thomas said, reciting the little mantra that Penny always used to say when accused of talking too much. SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Adrianna was tapping her quill against her knee as she thought to herself, before writing a comment on the assignment that was in her hand, this one was of poor quality and it was clear this child had not done enough research. It was a troll standard, she would be having very stern words with the boy. She sighed to herself for a moment, before closing her eyes and setting the essay on the marked pile, why did students think that they could get away with certain things, it was bad enough when students copied directly from a book, but at least they had read something. It was times like this when she questioned why she became a teacher, but it was when students did try their best, that often gave her a reason for teaching young minds, in the long run it was a worth while job. “Thanks guys.” She smiled when they spoke that she could stay, it was a nice thought that she would not have to leave, it would be nice for once to have some mature company other than the students that liked to harass her.
She found herself chucking at the comment Theo said. “Oh yes, all men need some feminine intelligence, its not just in our lovely school.” She found herself smirking as she gave a reply to the comment. Adrianna was in good company and she knew that much. It was nice to have an adult conversation every once in a while and not to be surrounded by the students. As much as she loved children, like she loved her niece, it was just nice to be away from them for a while. Adrianna deserved that much, or well she though that she did. Then her attention went over to Thomas, she gave him a grin as he also replied that she should not leave. Now she truly knew she should stay, especially when wine was mentioned, she needed a glass with the assignments she was marking; they were of a terrible standard with the acceptation of one or two of them. Standing up she left her papers on the table as she went over to join both of the gentlemen. “A glass of wine with friends solves all problems. Most of the time that is.” Adrianna found herself smiling.
“Talking is good for the soul? That is a phase I have never heard before, but whoever said it must be a smart person, they are so right. I mean I never shut up and it does me no harm. Most of the time that is.” Adrianna grinned as she spoke hardly breathing through the sentence, she really should learn how to stop talking when in company, her parents were used to it, but not everyone was. She crossed her legs as she sat down. But instead of drinking a glass of wine, she summoned a good cup of strong coffee. When she had been over in the states teaching for a short while, she had become somewhat of a coffee addict and she was not a happy person if she did not have her morning fix, even if it was the evening now.
“So how are the both of you? I hope your lessons are going better than mine, it would the students have forgotten how to read.” She said making a small comment that were linked with how bad those assignments were sitting on the table across the room. Adrianna took a long sip of coffee before setting it on the table she was sat at, she took a look out of the window to watch the sunset. It had been something she did often with her ex-fiancé Jonathan, she found herself missing him sometimes, though she had been the one to call off the wedding when she was twenty-three, it was the ‘what if’ questions that would often catch her out. “Oh sorry, I let my thoughts carry me away there.” She spoke, blushing just a little before smiling and taking another sip of her coffee.

I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand "she hasn't even sent anyone a letter, i just hope she knows what shes doing" Theo said shaking his head sightly. It was waay unlike Hermione to just wonder off and nobody to know where she had gone, she didn't leave a note explaining why she ha gone, only one saying she had gone. I hope she's got a good explanation for this he thought to himself as he didn't like knowing she could be getting herself in danger, plus he was missing out on the excitement.
"I'm more of a firewhiskey guy myself" he said simply he didn't realy care for wine, it tasted weird and he was more into butter beer and firewhiskey and that kind of stuff anyway. Ted simply nodded about the happy memory comment, he just wished he had a single memory of him and his parents, he only had a few pictures which he cherished and kept safe at all times.
"Well personally i think I'm doing pretty well with no female intelligence in my life" Theo said with a smile to Adrianna. OK he probably could do with a woman in his life, if only to look after him because his apartment was a mess and he never got time to clean up, when he did he was just too tired or lazy to clean so ended up reading or just lounging about. "and my lessons? well there more practical then written and reading so there ok" Ted stated then added "To be honest sometimes i just go into a lesson with a vague idea of what they should be learning and just improvise" he could nether be bothered with lesson plans.. he still acted like he did as a teenager. Lazy when it came to paperwork and living in a room that could resemble the inside of a bin. Thomas reached out and patted Theo on the back calmly and reasuringly. "She's a smart woman, Hermione. I'd trust her with my life, and if anyone is doing something good, it'll be her."
He said with a smile. All the years he'd known Hermione, he knew that she was trustworthy, honourable, respectable and kind. Not only did she work for the students, but she knew what was best for them and even listened to them when no one else would. She was an amazing woman, and he hoped that she was okay. "Ah, I only drink firewhisky on weekends" Thomas said with a grin, as Firewhisky really did him in, so he didn't use that on lesson days, as he wouldn't be able to walk. "that's no problem, thank you for joining us!" He listened to what Theo said and smiled. Okay, so he was doing alright without female intelligence, but things didn't half get lonely when you had a double bed to yourself in the night. Thomas missed having Penny to hold whilst he slept, as she felt so warm and good in his arms. He missed her perfume stinking out the bedroom to a point where he couldn't breathe, and he even missed her expertise on wine, as she always managed to pick the best ones, sometimes even at random! "Well then, I'll drink to that!" Thomas said with a smile, conjuring up a glass for Adrianna, and then using magic to have the bottle pour her some wine. He watched with a grin as he made the glass float easily toward her. Of course he was always good at other magic, but potions had to be his best subject, as he liked how precise you had to be, and how accurate. Special wasn’t the word. She was kind, generous, funny, smart and cute. She was the most amazing girl that Thomas had ever met, and laid eyes on, and he wouldn’t find anyone who lived up to her standards again, because she was just that good. There was something about Penny that he couldn’t ignore, and the day that he’d met her on the beach, was one of the best days of his life. He’d thought he’d been having a bad day, and that luck didn’t like him, but when he walked down the strip of sand, and saw this beautiful woman, carrying her flip flops in her hand, with the wind rippling through her long hair, he knew he’d never meet anyone like her again. His first instinct was to be with her forever, so he walked up to her, and without so much as a ‘hi’, he asked her to marry him. He got down on one knee and everything! That was testimony to how spontaneous Thomas used to be, but now everything was planned, from his lessons to his night. He’d have to go out again randomly, maybe walk down to Hogsmeade and apparate out to some muggle places. He could go to the beach, visit some park, maybe he’d take the weekend and do it, stay in some hotels. That would be interesting! And he’d not plan where he was going, and just go wherever he wanted. Sounded like a great idea! He could even meet some new people, and have a laugh. Thomas would have to stop off in Diagon Alley first and convert his magical money into muggle money so he could pay for things. Thomas had taken the initiative to learn how to use muggle money when he had decided to travel around. He was nineteen at the time, and wanted to go to a few muggle places, so he learned all about pounds and notes and such, and knew how to act like a muggle when he was in the muggle world. At least when he used the money on his weekend away he’d look less suspicious, as he couldn’t let it be found out that he wasn’t normal by their standards. Although who was normal? What did ‘normal’ actually mean? "I am grand, thank you! And my lessons are going well. I try and encourage the students to all take part and get involved, for instance I'm setting a homework that will involve them researching a decent potion at this grade, and then the best one, with the best situation of when they will use it, will win and as long as it is a decent potion then we'll learn to make that one next! I thought it was an interesting way of learning the set potions" Thomas said with a smile. He was talkative today, maybe it was the wine that did it! "Thoughts are necessary for us to be different, and i often lose myself in them too" Thomas said with a smile, remembering the massive amount of times that he'd spaced out in the middle of a conversation, and was brought back by someone snapping their fingers and calling his name. SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME Quietly Adrianna listened to them both comment about Hermione. That woman was very smart and had helped herself out on several occasions, it did indeed feel different that she was not around the castle anymore and Adrianna did miss her presence, and the odd chats they would sometimes have. “Thomas is right Theo, Hermione is amazing, heck I miss her around this joint, she helped me out with some lesson plans when I was in a right state with them.” That statement had been true, she had helped her out. Once more she found herself listening to both replies about female intelligence, where she found herself chuckling at Theo’s response and then made her own comment. “Oh believe me, behind every good man there is a fabulous woman, so if you want to great, well remember us women keep you men in check, or where would you be?” She joked on a little. Though she had to admit to herself she most certainly did like that saying, because it showed just how strong her gender was.
“Men and their fire whiskey, I have never been able to enjoy the stuff. I am a wine woman all the way.” She made a face when they had mentioned fire whiskey. Adrianna found the stuff awful and could not understand how people could enjoy it. Adrianna give a rather large smile before downing the rest of her coffee. It would give her the boost she needed, she was never a morning a person, so she needed her fix and then she would grab a cup whenever she could throughout the day, just like she had then. With just a flick of her wand, the cup vanished from the table. “Thank you for allowing me to interrupt some man time, though I have to admit, most of the time its fun to.” She chuckled, she really did need to shut up, and it was not doing her any favours at this moment in time. Before she could say anything else she had a wine glass in front of her and Thomas was magically pouring her some. She just shook her head for a moment. Her love of wine had come from her parents, they had a cellar full of wine, her parents had inherited it off her paternal grandparents, and they would often travel the world and come back with a few more bottles of wine, slowly building up their collection.
As soon as the glass of wine had been poured, Adrianna took a small sip of it, to sample it and she found that it had a very nice taste to it. “This is lovely, thank you.” She spoke before she took another sip of it and then setting it back on the table. It was nice to have a refreshing sip of wine every once in a while. Adrianna had a small collection of it herself, but nothing the size of her parent’s collection. At that point she made a mental note to go and visit her parents when she had a spare weekend, and it would be nice to visit her baby niece Emelie. Adrianna would always gush over the little girl and spoil her rotten if she was in her care, it would seem it allowed Adrianna to act like a role model even though this child was only four months old. It was crazy really, but Adrianna enjoyed spending the time spoiling the little princess. She shook her head to clear those thoughts; it was just because every time she saw Emelie, she would gush and become broody as a result. Her own mother said she would be good with children, but she was not ready, not just yet, she wanted to be a professor just a bit long, so she had the experience and she was a witch, they could live for a very long time compared to muggle standards. Adrianna came back to reality just in time to hear Thomas speak once more. “Its nice to hear that both of your classes are going smoothly, its hard to teach a module when the students just become bored with it.” She gave a small sigh; she had only been working at Hogwarts for about three years, but had been a professor for five years. Before Hogwarts she worked in America at the Salem Academy. “It’s nice to hear you agree with me there. I get a slap across the head from my parents.” She shook her head once more. “So gentlemen, what do you both plan on doing with the rest of your day?” She was in a slightly nosy mood today; though that was her mood almost every day.

I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand Ted shook his head slightly he was sure Hermione wouldnt just wounder off without at least telling her husband. Its just not like her he thought but she probably had her reasons but for Hermione to leave Hogwarts to do something, he had a feeling that the wizarding world should be worried. Somethings definitely going on he thought to himself but just put on a smile. "Your right, shes probably fine" he told them, unsure whether he was trying to convince himself or not. "Well i haven't had a woman 'behind' me in a long time.. actually Hermione was probably the last woman i could rely on" he said with a small shrug, she had got him his job and pulled him out of the pit he was living with.. not that his grandmothers house was a pit.
"To be honest I'm more of a butter beer person myself but if I'm out to drink and party I'm a firewhiskey guy" he said with a smirk. "Then there's Meade.. which is very strong" he had tried Meade once as a teenager and ended up waking up the next day with a cat in some back alley somewere. to this day he cant remember where he got up but after a while of walking he had found himself in Diagon Alley so it must have been near Knockturn Alley somewere.
Ted zoned out slightly thinking about his past and his many nights out as a teenager, he had been quite the party animal and he sure wished he could go back and re-live some of those nights. When he snapped out of his little day dream he wasn't sure what they were talking about so sat there nodding ever so often, he couldn't help but think they should get together he likes wine, she likes wine, its perfect he thought bringing a smile to his face.
Eventually he understood something they were talking about. "Don't set them too much homework or they will hate you" ted said with a small smile, he didn't set any research or written homework's, it was more of a 'go away and practice this' kind of homework. One word kind of stuck in his head that he had heard Adrianna say, she hadn't even realised it, to both her and Thomas is was just a word but to him it wasn't. 'parents'. His hair suddenly when a dark blue then a bright bubblegum pink as he thought of his mother's hair. "well i have to teach a lesson later but apart from teach I'll just chill" he told her as he sat back in his chair relaxing slightly with his bubble gum hair. Thomas knew that it wasn't like Hermione to wander off without at least telling Draco where she was going. It just wasn't right. But Thomas didn't want to worry Teddy, or put a dampener on the day, as he wanted to relax and not worry about anything, so he wasn't going to bring up the worry. And besides, he was sure that Theo was bright enough to work out that little worry, and he'd not brought it up either, he was chosing not to worry. "Amazing, hell she's one of the most awesome women that I've met around. And I sounded like a student then, not a teacher"
Thomas said with a little laugh. He'd spent too much time with the kids, their language was rubbing off on him. "I agree with you there, I had my fabulous woman, and in check I stayed! I'm sure that there is someone special out there for you, Teddy, you'll know when you find her. When I met Penny, I knew then that I never wanted to kiss anyone elses lips, other than hers." He said with a memory filled smile. he remembered the way that she'd agree to do what he wanted a whole lot of the time, but then that was usually the same thing that she wanted to do, that was why they were a perfect match. he missed Penny, but it was time to move on, even if he didn't want to, because he loved her so much. "Firewhisky on the weekends for me, wine the rest of the time. Meade, I don't touch unless I want to miss a weekend." He said with a small nod, remembering all the bottles that he had in his kitchen at home. Penny had gone out one day and came back with a beautiful oak wine rack, and five bottles of perfectly chosen wine to fill it up with. It was the start of their collection, as she had said. "It is no problem! I just hope that we don't give men a bad reputation, or else you'll avoid us forever, and that would be an awful burden to rest on our shoulders" Thomas said with a grin. Was that flirting? The wine was going to his head alright! "Thank you for joining us! It is alright, but I've never had the knack of picking the best wine, I left that to my ex wife" Thomas explained, taking another sip, and then swirling the glass so that the taste didn't settle into the last few drops of wine. "yes it is, and it's difficult to find a way to make the topic more exciting and interesting!" He agreed, as he spent many nights thinking of ways to make the lessons more fun and how to involve the students more. He was lucky enough to have a subject that required practicals most of the time, so as long as the potion was interesting, it would keep them motivated and the lessons fun. "I don't, if I set any homework tasks, they are usually a five minute job, although I do have to set one or two essays throughout the term, but I spread them out, so that they seem less of a chore" He said with a shrug, as he knew that they needed to do those essays. Thomas noticed the change in Theo's hair colour, and he frowned for a moment, wondering what had brought it on. "I don't know. I'm thinking of a little trip away. I feel like going to the beach, I think it would be fun, and then maybe scoot around town for the weekend, just get away, ya know? Either of you are welcome to join" He said with a shrug, as if he'd just meant any beach. But he didn't, he meant his beach, Penny's beach. SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME “Meade is something I never wanted to try and after spending Christmas with friends drinking it, I don’t ever want to try it.” She smiled at the memory that came to her mind; it had been an interesting event. It was Christmas Eve and she was at a muggle party but it had a few twists. By the end of the night, nearly everyone was passed out on the floor and she was one of those people. It had just been before she went into teaching, she would have to meet and catch up with old friends and organise another crazy night out in the muggle world. Adrianna may be thirty next year, but to the muggle world she still looked very young, it was very good to be a witch. Since she had accepted the position at Hogwarts, the job had become her priority, it had to. Of course the weekends were her own if she had not assigned detention. It was rare she assigned a detention for a weekend, because it meant she would have to give up her own. “I try to set the homework so that it will be fun, but I am starting to think that my definition of fun is different now.” Adrianna chuckled. “It is making me feel old already.” Though she was only twenty-nine, it felt like she was so much older than the students were, though eleven years was not a great age difference at all.
Adrianna saw Theo’s hair change, she looked at him for a moment, wondering what was wrong. It was one thing seeing hair colour change but there was always an emotion behind it for what she imagined. Giving a small smile once more, she then took another sip of her wine. “Oh yes, men are not worth it these days.” She chuckled. “My ex-fiancé was a bit old fashioned as much as I loved him then, fell out of love and were just friends, I called it off. It’s not good for ones ego you know.” She smiled once again; it was true, what she was saying, as far as she knew now Jonathan was now married with a young child. It was just what her mother had told her, she never let the matter drop that all of that could have been hers. Adrianna then listened to what Thomas was saying about his lessons, it would seem that these men were having better luck than she was, it would take practise and she would get herself sorted. Hopefully that would be soon. "Hmmm I might just have to get you men to help with so of my lessons, a bit of duelling here and there, that would be interesting.” She spoke in response. “Hmmm, maybe, if I don’t have any detentions, who knows these days. But I don’t know about Theo, but I don’t want to be a burden to your trip out.” Adrianna spoke, biting her bottom lip as she spoke. “But the both of you should come out for a night on the town in muggle London, I think you would both love it and it allows you to relax and enjoy yourself.” She also suggested casually. Crossing her legs, she gave a small yawn, it always hit her just how tired she could get when teaching when she had marking to do as well. “Excuse me that was far from lady-like.”
She ran her hand through her hair as she glanced over once more at the pile of assignments that she really should continue to mark, but she could just leave it for the day and just give herself the night off. Adrianna allowed her gaze to lead to the window to look out at the grounds surrounding the castle, maybe she would head off for a walk after her classes had finished for the day. It had been a while since she had gone for a leisurely walk around the lake.

I got myself a notion
One I know that you'll understand Ted nodded about Hermione and decided to leave it at hat then with a smirk said "well to be honest I'll drink pretty much anything" and he would, he had been one of those teenagers that would go out at night and drink pretty much anything to get drunk then end up waking up the nxt day feeling terrible. "your telling me, i feel old. I found a grey hair" he said with a smile then added "But of course i can change my hair colour so it didn't last very long", one of the many perks of being a metamorphmagus.
Then everyone started talking about there ex's which Theo realy couldn't get involved in as he hadn't realy had a proper relationship, sure he had once had girlfriends and flings but nothing major that lasted longer then a few weeks. I should get out more he began to tell himself as he was getting older and didn't want to end up old and alone. " If there's going to be a duel you can count me in, ive never lost a duel.. then again Ive not been in that many duels.." he confessed then his eyes fell onto the clock on the wall i should probably go write my grandmother a letter he thought to himself as he hadn't wrote to her in ages. "Well.. i best be off, you two have fun" he said with a wink, standing up he headed out of the room and towards his office. They have more in common anyway he thought to himself figuring he was just like the third leg. Completely unnecessary in the conversation.[/blockquote] To set the world in motion By reaching out for each other's hand Outfit: Outfit Comment: Laa Dee Daa Lyrics: I 2 I - Tevin Campbell Credit: Me

Thomas smiled at her Christmas story. "Ah, now I spent Christmas living it up with my parents, and I took some Meade for them to try, but they decided that they prefer wine. I do too, it's got much more too it, I think. Although Meade comes in handy when you need to forget"
He said with a small smile, remembering the Christmas, and also remembering what started around that time that Tom had failed to pick up on. You see, around Christmas time, it was when Zane Shames, that imbicile and sorry excuse for a teacher, had started his relationship with Kaleb. Thomas knew that it was around December to January time, and he'd not noticed anything, and Thomas was upset with himself for that. He'd seen the wreck that the boy had become when he'd heard the words of rejection, and Thomas could have stopped it before it came to that point, if he'd only been paying attention, if only he'd been really looking. At least Thomas had been there that day that the truth came out, so that he could help. "It's indeed hard to make homework fun, but we can do nothing more than our best to at least try and make it fun!" He said with a smile, remembering all the ideas for homework’s he had that would bring a little interest into the subject. He thought that as long as doing the hoemwork was enjoyable, the students would have no trouble doing it, and doing it on time. "Ah I know how you feel. I woke up this morning with back pain, how old does that make me sound?" He asked rhetorically with a small chuckle. "Lucky for some, eh?" He joked in response to Teddy's statement. He'd have loved to be a metamorphmagus, it would have been an amazing thing to do, play with your appearence! "Well I'm glad that you didn't marry someone you didn't love, as you can never be happy with that. I always wondered what life would have been like for Penny had she married the guy that she intended to. You see, Penny was engaged to another man, and in true style, I managed to crash the wedding, with the encouragement of a friend of mine." Thomas said with a smile, glad that his friend had the sense to practically push him out of the door so that he'd go and stop it. Penny wouldn't have been happy with someone that she didn't love, because she was the type of person that needed to feel love, and really feel it! She needed to know that the person who held her was the one she'd chose to spend forever with, if she could do her life over again. And with Thomas, at least he hoped that she had that, and she acted like she did at least. Her laugh was the best sound in the world to him, and he used to dream of him hearing it again after she died. "I'm up for a duel, as long as this youngster goes easy on me" He joked, making himself sound older than he was. He was only young, but he'd had enough experience in his life to feel like he was fourty or something! "You would never be a burden. And London is one of my favourite places in the world, and a muggle night out on the town sounds lovely! I haven't spent proper time there in ages!" He said with a smile, wondering how much the bars and places had changed since he'd last been there. "Don't be silly, that's normal! Yawns catch, you know?" He added, before yawning himself. Even thinking of yawning made him want to yawn! "Have a good day Theodore! And how could I not, with Adrianna as company?" He asked smoothly, running a hand through his hair to get the loose strands out from in front of his eyes. He had to admit that he liked having Adrianna's company very much! "Well, it's a lovely day outside, it's such a shame to waste it in here! Would you care to join me on a walk by the lake?" He asked, standing up and offering his arm to her, like a gentleman would do in the past.
